I would seriously doubt that the current architecture of AS could handle this, as each layer adds to file size, and thus performance degradation.

DOF is dependent on layer origin, as well as z-depth. If the origin of a layer moves significantly away from the center of the camera, this will affect the DOF.

Yes, but you have to hold the spacebar for a few seconds to finalize the shape instead of playing the timeline. There is a newer version in the VIP of the AF (in my signature).
