Dino walk cycles

A few weeks ago I posted this TRex walk cycle: https://vimeo.com/81531482 in the Everyday Display challenge here: http://www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=18184 I am overdue to post a touch up on the TRex (though the problem Danimal mentioned in the above thread was resolved by setti...

Re: Remapping time in actions - technique

When Selgin rescales the keyframes, he just clicks and drags them and they space themselves apart automatically. Does anyone know what keys he holds down to get them to rescale so smoothly?

Ha. Never mind, it's the "alt" key.

Is there a Mac equivalent of the F5 key?

In some tutorials, the animator presses the f5 key after placing a keyframe in order to put a keyframe in every bone channel at that point- to reduce "wavering" or something. My question: Does anyone know the Mac equivalent of this key? Pressing F5 for me turns my volume down. Also, is the...

Re: POC Paga!

It's so graceful and clean!

On the characters, it looks as though those hand shapes are hooked on to the rest of the body with bones.

Did you use any other layers or references to help you with hand placement?

Re: The Letter to Santa

This is an interesting use of AS.

Now I want to go off and figure out how to make apps, too.

Very nice.

Re: Everyday Display Challenge *REVIVED*

Here's the updated version. https://vimeo.com/81531482 The feet don't slide as much, and the background looks better as well. It's not shown but the rig has smart bones for blink, pupil dilation and eye motion. I haven't figured out his mouth yet. Right now the jaw is a simple bone that is parented ...

Re: Everyday Display Challenge *REVIVED*

This is my most recent thing, a walk cycle for a character I'm working on. The feet are still jumpy and slipping around a bit, and it's not HD, so the antialiasing is a little squidgy. The background is only about half done, I need to figure out a way to get the hills and clouds to sync up better. T...

Re: The disappearing exported .mov file

Thank You HeyVern, that did the trick.

It may have been that quicktime didn't like one of the characters in the title, a backslash.

Either way, it's working now. Thanks.

Re: The disappearing exported .mov file

Quicktime says its ok, no need for updating.

It's only a 30 second movie, so it can't be that long.

Maybe the file is corrupted, I'll try exporting a different .anme file into a .mov file

Re: The disappearing exported .mov file

OK, I've done a search for it by name among all the .mov files and nothing. It doesn't seem to be misplacing the .mov file, just not creating one. The task completion bars go all the way to the end as far as I can tell. Then it just does nothing, rather than bringing up the new exported .mov file I ...

The disappearing exported .mov file

I keep trying to export an .anme file as a Quicktime movie, into the designated ASP 9.5 folder. It sure looks like it is rendering, but no actual quicktime movie appears, it just gets done rendering, then nothing. Any suggestions? Out of curiosity I tried exporting it into IMovie as png files and go...

Help with point binding

Hello. I am rigging a character with point binding. His arms work fine, but his legs, on which the points were bound the same way, do not move. Using the Point Bind tool shows me that the correct points are bound to the correct bones, but when I manipulate the bones, the bones move and the points st...
