Gaaaahhhh!!! (Translation:Need Help With Follow Path)-Solved

I am at beat-head-on-desk levels of frustration. I simply cannot get Follow Path to work. I have gotten it to work in the past, so not sure what is going on. Briefly, I create a path on one layer(A), and an object to follow that path on another layer(B). I make sure that the path layer(A) is above t...

Re: My New Superhero cartoon!

neetersguy,

when you do the animation on the feet in a forward facing walk cycle, do you use smart bones?

Re: Wrap a bird's foot around a branch

You could use animated shape order.

Right. I forgot that ASP11 allows you to animate shape order within a layer.

Re: Wrap a bird's foot around a branch

I don't know how about masking, but you could do it by putting the feet on switch layers. Just add them on top of the foot layers already there, and have the feet become invisible (zero percent opacity) at the right time - the switch layers stay invisible as long as you include one blank switch laye...

Re: SHARE EDUCATIONAL VIDEOS

HEY, WHILE WE'RE HERE DOES ANYONE HAVE A LINK TO A Oops, heh. Does anyone have a link to a good tutorial for a front-facing walk cycle? [Edit] After some more searching I found this tutorial from ShoNuff: It covers the basics, but if any...

Re: vector dissapear!

The rock's position on the vector layer might just be jumping around out of view of your workspace. Try zooming out a ways and see if it isn't off to the side somewhere. Alternately, you could make the bone layer first, and make a new vector layer nestled inside it. Then create your rock in the vect...

Need Suggestions for Creating Profile View of Object

135197529 So, the video shows two objects. I am trying to turn the object on the top half of the screen into a profile view of the other object (on the lower half of the screen - a top down view of the same thing) Right now as you can see it is only partially complete. The problem comes in when tra...

Re: Can't seem to figure this one out..

Check and see if the layer origins all match up. The origins for those layers (mouth and eyebrows) may be different from the rest.

Re: Animate Hide Edge?

I've had good luck with animating the line width down to 0. I found that if I add two extra points inside the area i want to disappear - right next to the points which I want to be regular width, where the line becomes visible again - then It's easy to control where the line disappears and reappears...

Re: The T Stands for Justice: T Rex 2.0 animation test

Thanks for your reply, lawaxana. He does look a bit scarier, but he ends up the hero, by saving the cute little t-rex's birthday party from attack by ruffians. That tiny dino he's holding is a rhamphorynchus, which the T Rex decides not to eat, but rather to wear as a batman-style mask. Here's what ...

The T Stands for Justice: T Rex 2.0 animation test

Redesign test of the T Rex Character, still have to do new 3/4 front and profile views in order to give him a head turn. 132240214 This clip will eventually be spliced together with animation posted in this thread: http://www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=27450 Also, if you read Selg...

Re: Transition from Toon Boom to Anime Studio 11?

6. BAD BOUNDING BOX DESIGN When you click on a group layer in Anime Studio, the bounding box is often weird and doesn't reflect the bounds of the contents within the layer. This issue is a big deal for people who like to organize their characters within the canvas. example: http://s22.postimg.org/b...

Re: Easing functions gif (or understanding the graph more)

I can see many applications for this. The third example, "power 2" seems to be equivalent to the smooth interpolation in ASP, and "Uniform 1/4, 1/2" seems equivalent to the Ease In/Out interpolation. But beyond that, there are graphs for a range of dynamic motion, and not just bo...

Re: Create and assign styles?

Draw or trace the curve (or unofficial 'shape') first, then use the Create Shape Tool and you can assign styles to your shapes as they are created. If you have a shape and want to change its color to that of another shape, use the Select Shape Tool and the Eye Dropper Tool. Or just select the shape ...
