Nice work! I think the star flicker is a bit too intense, but it definitely is a technique worth further investigation. Thanks for commenting M! I agree about the stars. For some reason I thought .01 was the lowest I could set noisy keyframes for so I never tried going lower. But after reading your...

Exotic Locations

I have been studying Parker's tutorials today and created three quick examples from his techniques. I downloaded pics from the internet and recreated them AS. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeCv-yCn8EU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_duLiW5vNeQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brXOmR0SUQ4 I think they...

this is a recently descovered issue with the multithread rendering :( it crashes when using morphdials or meshinstance (or both) on AS7 ONLY on machines using multiple cores... we have to cross our fingers it will get fixed soon...! This is exactly why being able to save in earlier versions of Anim...

choosing tool by SHIFT+clicking icon in timeline

When tweaking timing and position the keyboard shortuts are a big help but not everything has a shortcut assigned. So if we could hold shift when clicking the icon we can select it as a tool to save more time. Then we could hold down ctrl and drag left or right on the icon to rescale its keyframes. ...

Re: Microsoft C++ export crash

I have a similar problem with just one file. When I CTRL+R all the layers render. When I CTRL+E it crashes right away. When I batch export, this file sometimes crashes and sometimes renders BUT with a problem. One group folder of images renders with the broken link icon. AAArgh!! I tried to turn of...

reading posts with bated breath... what's next? Are these the camera tools I've been looking for? My chase scenes are going to be AWESOME!! Peter, I have a theory that a script can be written to create stereoscopic 3D rendering. Instead of using red and blue for 3D, two images that are about 45degre...

Another 3D feature that might not be too difficult to implement would be rendering a modern 3D movie. I read that new 3D movies are a composite of a 45degree left and a 45degree right image that are shown at once. Can ASP calculate these other two views from the existing camera so this can be a new ...

Great ideas! Very useful. Also, It would be great to use the vector tools to draw the particle emitter in any shape. I hate having blank corners when I make a starry night with the oval emitter. And it would be useful to make particle layers animatable. (I'm still using ASP6) I'd like to be able to ...

I read on the forum that there is a problem with audio and H264 so I used Quicktime and Animation. Then I used Quicktime and mp4 and they were both multi-GB files. I used avi and cinepak compression and wmp wouldn't play it. When it did I got a strange unsynched half screen mess. I finally did half ...

Youtube doesn't like 14Gigabyte music videos

Just made a video to go with a Jane's Addiction song and rendered it as uncompressed QuickTime file and it was 14GB LARGE!! Not only that but the guitar png particles I got for free from Content Paradise randomly flashed black. I had a black layer underneath everything so I could fade to black at th...

I think the Photoshop script makes a switch layer if only one ofyour layers in the group is visible in PS before you run the script. Make visible all the layers in your Photoshop document before running the script and it should export to group layers. Yeah... It all works as you said Mikdog. Brilla...

Slowtiger. I was puzzled by your answer. :? I remember checking the "flip horizontal" option in the layer settings and it flipped it from frame0 onward even though I was in frame242 :( and did not create a keyframe. :x That's the whole reason I decided to flip in photoshop. :idea: But hey,...

another Photoshop exporting question

Sorry for bringing this topic up again but I couldn't find this answered elsewhere. I have used the photoshop export layers script many times. My most recent project has over 40 group layers with 2 image layers each. In photoshop, it seems that group layers with two layers in them stay group layers ...

colorized shape select tool?

I love the dynamic image/gradient tool but have one request. Is it possible to colorize the handle of a selected shape to tell it apart from the other handles on the same layer? Heyvern was able to colorize bones so I'm thinking this should be possible, right?
