Animation Workflow- Animatic to Final Animation II

UPDATED VERSION of the NRAnimation workflow. See original for comparison here . So, instead of a "stepped" workflow like last time, I add some inbetweens in the layout pass so I can get a better feel for the timing. It saves time and really helps the animators "plus" the animatio...

More Pics!

More Pics! I'm laying out a really fun sequence (Sequence 22 of 38 ) right now with a really silly character who's really fun to pose out and animate. Layout is one of the most fun and important parts of the animation process. It's basically the "setup" step. The backgrounds are dr...

It's actually mostly in the tone of the series. It's a bit darker and edgier then the series but it's funny rather then dramatic (there are a few dramatic scenes but none of it is really "serious") but on a much bigger scale with more characters and locations. If you like our more dramatic...

The Average Joe Movie - Feature Film Production Diaries/Q&am

Hey all! I haven't posted here in a while. As some of you already know, I've been working on a feature length animated film called Average Joe's Great Escape based on my web series: The Average Joe Show . http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/hs124.ash2/39515_448537223674_94583273674_5141501_6...

Wow... thanks for actually paying whoever is doing this unlike the other knuckleheads who post jobs here... Not a bad price either. I could use $300 right now :P Wish I applied before the position filled up.

i understand you want to give the key poses to the other animators you're working with, but what's the advantage to the 'step' effect, however it's achieved, when you could just start with them appart and 'basic' inbetweened ready for 'plus'ing by the other animators? I like them to add as much as ...

Just curious: Regarding animatic in AS, if you're using the same models, why use 'step' keys to lay out the first pass rather than just leave it interpolating? maybe it makes it 'clearer' to see the overall motion, i dunno, but when the inbetweening of the first pass can be done automatically I fai...

Animatuc to Final Animation Comparison

For those of you wanting to know a bit more about how I create my animation, this little scene from my upcoming feature-length film should enlighten you a bit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ooS0qcm8pAU I start off usually with really rough crappy looking "thumbnail" storyboards on paper (...

Animated "Bumper"

Here's an animated bumper I did for a website called Swizzer which is a local Orlando, Florida college website:

It'll be included in all of their online videos now.

Enjoy!

Haha I think it looks great personally. I love the style. It works for this type of thing somehow. I could not see it as fully animated.

I'm experimenting with hand-drawn animation as well using a program called TVPaint:

It works amazingly well imo.

Great advice, thankyou!

Is that image taken from a book?
