Child Bone Wobble
I thought I'd found a method of keeping track of the 'Z' axis with bones. I wanted to keep the rotation of the three child bones completely independent of their parents...stay completely vertical. (I don't have a URL for my screenshot that shows the bone setup) Does MOHO 13.5 have child bones that a...

Wood Plank Turns 360°
This video is not a big deal but I have not been able to animate since at least 2016 when my computer died. I thought my life was over. :( I can finally finish my ASP 9.5 files. I had to read basic tutorials but I have always wanted my characters to face the camera with head turns and tilts and I th...

Re: Text to Speech narration of a book
Amazing quality. I have always had to patch my narration track together because I can't finish a sentence without stumbling.

Excellent! One of the things that make this forum so great is that you can have a global dialogue with professional animators.

Re: Front Walk Cycle
It's good. His walk has a little attitude, a little flavor. There are two things I noticed and I know you noticed them too. His jacket has wrinkles and shadows but his pants don't. The difference makes his pants seem 'unfinished'. The other noticeable thing is that the line on his left arm near his ...

Re: I made a film in 48hrs! A Film About Migraines
The intro reminds me of Popeye or Betty Boop. Looks like you were influenced by Fleischer Studios. 48 hours is incredibly fast even if you worked through the night.
I enjoyed it. Very instructive.

Re: Neko and the Gecko (English Version)
I think the English version will provide a significant boost to your viewership. Children wouldn't respond as much to subtitles as they would to language.

Re: Sound Issue
I prepare my audio in Audacity and use the sequencer to slide my sound files along the timeline. I also put my mic in a small crate lined with foam to keep out ambient noise. Actually, I keep a bunch of short narration clips which I number and put in a group folder because I stumble over my words if...

A dead computer has happened to me several times. The worst thing is losing the files you created. I now have a couple of usb backup harddrives.

Re: Combining 2 Bone folders into 1 rig
...it's all the re-binding I guess that's unavoidable, (I was afraid of that part :? ) I'm rebuilding a character right now. I spent a lot of time building a head that turned and tilted with SB's. As soon as I added and reparented 'skeletal' bones I ruined the SB actions! I had to: 1) duplicate the...

Re: There's a line in the hair
Glad to help. I still appreciate your help but the wind has gone out of my sails. The problem with the 'masking line' was solved and I thought I'd be able to start work on phonemes when it occurred to me that I had no skeletal bones. I'm gonna have to rebuild the character. I've been away for sever...

That did it. Thank you!synthsin75 wrote:Hiding the stroke, with the hide edge tool, on the top of the head (face layer) seems to do the trick.

Re: There's a line in the hair
I'd have to see your layer/masking setup. I didn't clean the file up. After I posted my question I realized I should've tried unmasking the 'front' hair first. I still value your input. You are a professional animator who also writes code. https://www.dropbox.com/s/3wgikfgrguu7hiv/Mask%20Line.anme?...

There's a line in the hair
If you look closely you can see a line caused by a mask. The 'head' layer is sandwiched between two layers of 'hair'. The layer of 'hair' on top is masked out. I expanded the mask (face) by one pixel and it seemed to work but then it was there again when I exported it. I plan to add phonemes to a Sm...
