Hello Yafar, right-click on the tutorial audio files in Windows Explorer and select Properties from the context menu. Look on the Summary tab (if you see an Advanced button on the summary tab, click on it). You can see all the tutorial files included with Papagayo are mono and use PCM format (no com...

Under the Animation menu you'll probably find Allow Frame Skipping is ticked. It skips drawing some frames so playback can keep up with the soundtrack. If you untick that option you'll probably see all frames at the expense of the soundtrack skipping, stuttering, or slowing down. Yes, it only happen...

Moho - US$99, reached version 5.4. Development, sales, and support, all by one man, the brilliant but over-worked Mike Clifton, with a new baby on the way. Reached a point where support requirements increased so that no new development was possible. No further bug-fixes or new releases will be relea...

I don't think there is a standard or best technique. Layers are good. You can also create a file of various background layers and just import each one when it is needed. Vector layers will also scale well on close-ups. BMPs or JPEGs are also good, although PNG is probably better (you don't get the l...

There is another possibility, depending on what exactly you are seeing. You can end up with multiple layered fills, particularly if you are still using Moho instead of Anime Studio or possibly using Fazek's great tools in AS. You can also achieve the same thing in standard AS, but it takes a little ...

Hmm, in theory you could possibly duplicate your hand switch layer, and move the duplicate beneath the body layer. Have the version above the body with outlines and masked to only show inside the body. Have the version below the body without outlines, and using either shadow outline or Vern's black ...

Hi Stephen, The whole switch parent layer needs to be bound as a layer to a specific bone e.g. a hand bone, in the skeleton (oh, and the switch parent layer needs to be a child of the skeleton layer). Highlight the switch layer in the Layers window, choose the Bind Layer tool in the Tools window (ju...

University libraries are also a good resource, particularly if the university teaches media courses - usually the public is able to go in and read in the library, and some of them have a fee for borrowing rights for members of the public. The online Guide Book for Guerilla Filmmakers has some useful...

Double-check that progressive setting in the DVD output, and also make sure the Vegas project is set to output to rectangular-pixel NTSC dimensions - if that's okay, it should automatically resize the rendered square pixel resolution to rectangular TV pixel resolution. If the Vegas project is set to...

Hi, Sorry, by "platform" I meant Windows, Mac, or Linux - not so much AS jargon as tech jargon. I haven't used aiff files much, they are probably more common on Macs. Some audio programs use a range of audio compression codecs within the .WAV format. Try opening the WAV or AIFF file in Aud...

Which platform are you on?
Are you using WAV files? PCM compression? The range of audio formats supported by Anime Studio is fairly restricted.

Just some hobbyist guesses until someone with real experience adds their comments. Is this the final DVD that looks interlaced, or direct preview monitoring from Vegas? My guess about the interlacing: See if you can find where to set your DVD output to use progressive mode rather than interlaced (wh...

Although it was published in the 1960's, I still think The Five C's of Cinematography by Joseph V. Mascelli is a good solid grounding in camera work and cinematography.

Green Walls posted a PDF list at the top of this thread (for Moho, but it should all be the same as Anime Studio). There's a text version in this thread , and mooncaine posted a PDF version of the relevant manual pages at the bottom of the thread. Mooncaine also posted a "how-to" for modi...
