I remember that video now, I saw it when I first saw that thread. It's the smoking gun. It really looks as if they got caught out in a lie.

The truth about Animate Pro 3 and Harmony stand-alone revealed - and the news isn't good for Animate Pro users!

Plus, Gilles was right about the $3500 price point.

Parkour on a bike - awesome!

However, I've been raised on Jackass, so it feels wrong when he doesn't land on his nuts and damage himself.

Sounds great, but Synfig is still pretty much unusable. I love free software, and I love that people are volunteering to help with it, but Synfig makes me fight to do anything.

Re: Anime Studio 8 - Why to Upgrade

It would be great if Smith Micro were to have some pages on their website guiding users to these, and not expect them to troll through forums on the off chance of finding something they might use. This hits the nail on the head - for new users, especially professional animators, the lack of guidanc...

Walks are good, fighting is okay as long as it isn't too snappy.

Personally, the animation part of the tutorial would be more useful than the stereoscopic part (although I can sense that the stereoscopic part would be a lot more fun for you to create ;) ).

Here is the video on Vimeo. http://vimeo.com/27742450 I will remove it eventually, as it is copyrighted material! Okay, I've seen it now, thanks. So you want to have a tutorial on a character walking towards camera? That's going to be quite abstract, they tend to look like people wiggling about, an...

For the final project, I was thinking of something inspired from the Kung-Fu Panda opening sequence. The opening shot with Po walking toward the bridge would look awesome in stereo, and maybe 1 or 2 sequences inspired by the combat scenes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsMB0JEnfD4 That clip doesn'...

I can't get Gilles's lavalamp comment out of my head - I think that doing anything more advanced than that using metaballs just isn't going to be worth the effort.

I think it is important to have a good look at some of the great animation scripts that we're created by AS users Absolutely. Maybe even a comparison between the normal workflow and the enhanced workflow, so people can see why they are so much better. But maybe that should be in a separate section,...
