Let me rephrase my objection - water, fire and smoke don't occur that often in most animations, whereas character animation happens all the time. I'd prefer tools that help me all the time, rather than on rare occasions. If I need an effect for 30 seconds in a ten-minute film, I'm happy to go outsid...

If it matches an existing .com name, people will get confused. Better to think of something memorable and unique.

If it has ALL that content, yes, I'd pay for it. And I'd think I was getting a bargain. Currently there's no properly defined method of animating with the user-made tools, it's all "use whichever tools you want and find your own way" - I don't have time to find my own way, I want to know h...

I don't know, I'd rather time was spent improving character animation tools than playing around with this kind of stuff, which is done much better in dedicated 3D software. You could probably put a spreadsheet in Anime Studio too, but that doesn't mean it would be anything more than an intellectual ...

Isn't CG Arts already the name of a magazine? You need to google them all and find out whether anything has been used already.

Anyway, it's not a case of what's the best name, it's what you can get the .com name for. I bet all of those have gone already.

This extra LUA stuff sounds great - what other LUA plugins are there that could be used? Has anyone got a list of them? I did a search but didn't really understand what I was looking at.

One thing AS has TBAP does not is point animation, to be able to do a second pass on top of cut-out animation with point animation makes a huge difference in quality and work-flow! QFA. This is what I'm starting to love about Anime Studio. Oh, I have to admit that Toon Boom has something else that ...

soon i will publish a detailed comparison on things that Toon boom do better Will you also include things that Anime Studio does better than Toon Boom? Because even from my limited experience with learning AS, I can see many many advantages so far. As for doing FBF, you're missing the point of Anim...

I never mentioned a price of $3500. I can't confirm or deny that price - I'm afraid that the only place that you can get more info about pricing is from sales@toonboom.com. Uh oh - that normally means it's more expensive when people say that... And you need Maya as well if you want to render ...

I checked out the website - if the software is as slick as the website, I think I'll pass.

Hi Lilly, thanks for giving your input! We're not trying to replace a 3D software, what we're trying to do is to integrate with it. Do you need to own a 3D package to use all of Harmony's features? We have the ability to create a bone-style deformer similar (but more sophisticated) to what you would...

Is "Storyboard Tools" a program? Or are you just talking about storyboard programs in general? Do you have a link to it?
