Re: Exporting crashes randomly

Chano-kun, The warning dialogue box that appears looks like it is referring to a problem when it is reading the code - it even identifies the line and cause. Perhaps where you are not getting many answers you should consider contacting Smith Micro directly via email https://support.smithmicro.com/ w...

Re: Exporting crashes randomly

Hi Chano-kun, Don't be disheartened people do usually respond and the moderators are usually really helpful. You might be getting a slower response because you are using 9.5 ?? This used to happen to me a lot!!! when I used asp 9.5 and it still happens to me a lot with ASP 11.2, I am always having t...

Re: Shapes in layers What are these red dots?

Don't quote me on it .... but from memory I think this has something to do with letting you know that that layer is compatible with flash and can be exported as an swf /will be editable in adobe flash. I might be wrong but I think I read that somewhere once. Apologies in advance if this was unhelpfu...

Lagging

Since the 11.2 update (18233) I am experiencing a lot of lagging using Anime Studio pro. It is now becoming bothersome and extremely tedious, and all the seconds are actually adding up in my time schedule. I have tried turning GPU on off, yet still the same thing. My computer is more than capable, a...

Re: Missing Z axis

Are you using the correct tool?

When you are using the transform points tool (keyboard shortcut T) you wont get the option of a z axis.
But if you use the transform layer tool (keyboard short cut M) you will have access to the z axis.

Hope thats the answer to your problem :)

Re: File Paths - Massive flaw - WARNING TO ALL!!!

Firstly thank you Funksmaname and synthsin75 for your feedback. Unfortunately I was not able to open up my document in any editor to examine my file paths due to the new compression method that ASP 11 uses on saved files. However, I did manage to fix my problem :D :D :D I am so happy. I am very meti...

File Paths - Massive flaw - WARNING TO ALL!!!

Hi, I'm unsure if this is an actual bug, but it certainly does cause a lot of serious problems and has the potential to destroy workflows, output and personal sanity. I recently reset my computer to as if it were new (fresh reset) I have all of my animation workflow set up like a library. Fo...

Re: Depth of field & patch layers problem ASP 11

Okay so I have uploaded a file. The character is bare bones (ie its just to give an example) I added notes on frame 0, 24 and 48. The document has depth of field enabled via > Projects > File settings. I have also tried this out in ASP 10 and the same thing happens there. https://www.dropbox.com/s/w...

Re: Depth of field & patch layers problem ASP 11

@ synthsin75

Thanks for your response.
I tried doing what you recommended and unfortunately it makes no difference. I also checked whether this problem occurs in AS10 and it does.
Would this be considered a bug and if so how do I go about reporting it to Smith Micro ?

Many thanks.

@ DKWROOT

Thanks for the layer selection tool. It's a much needed feature. It is already saving me time not to mention rsi. Thank you so much for spending the time and effort creating it, uploading a tutorial and for then freely sharing it :D Much appreciated !!

Depth of field & patch layers problem ASP 11

I have been rendering out a few scenes that have been utilising the depth of field (under file>preference>depth of field) In all instances whereby the background is set to be out of focus, any character that is within that range and has patches, all the patches will be blurred. (Regardless of whethe...
