Re: AS Pro 9 on Mac - odd audio in QuickTime Player?
Re: YouTube, It sounds like you've probably already reviewed their encoding suggestions, correct? http://support.google.com/youtube/bin/static.py?hl=en&topic=1728570&guide=1728585&page=guide.cs Just out of curiosity I'm wondering if you've tried a workaround of saving a QT movie out of A...

Re: AS Pro 9 on Mac - odd audio in QuickTime Player?
That's great if you've found a workaround to get audio playback in QT10. You can, however, still load QT7 onto your computer if you wanted to . . . just use the download link in my previous post and install it. Not An Artist installed it on his iMac running OSX 10.8.1. You will not be "downgrad...

Re: Papagayo Replacement For Mac OSX 10.7
As another option, you can get an app called WinOnX at the App Store for just a few bucks that will allow you to run Windows programs on your Mac. I got it out of curiosity and I am now able to run some applications that I couldn't use anymore because I had decided to uninstall Parallels. Considerin...

Re: AS Pro 9 on Mac - odd audio in QuickTime Player?
What version of Quicktime do you use with Mountain Lion? Quicktime 10? I ask because I never use that version myself and I know a lot of people who work with video hate it because it can't do a lot of things that earlier versions could. Apple have apparently developed it with the casual home user/we...

Nice! After watching a number of your other pieces also I would have to say that I appreciate your sense of humor, your animation skills, your story-telling, and your staging. Your color palettes are well-chosen, the sounds work well, and your timing is spot-on. Work done in Anime Studio can end up ...

Re: My best script ever! Animated text and titles
Has anyone gotten this script to work properly in Anime Studio Pro 9 (on a Mac running OSX 10.7.4, to be more specific)? It's very strange . . . I can get it to work beautifully on a vector layer, but not on a text layer. The "Spinning Text v1.0" option in the scripts menu is grayed out wh...

Re: Fantasy Animation Longer Clip
Nice work! I love all the textures, the stylized look, the narrator's voice, the music and ambient sounds. And perhaps most of all, the story manages to be intriguing even with only 53 seconds of setting up. I look forward to seeing more!

Re: Frame Rate
If you're going to do your editing in Final Cut Pro, which is an excellent idea, then you should export your scenes from Anime Studio in a lossless format, e.g. Animation or a png image sequence. After you finish your editing in FCP just click on "Share" in the menu bar to find presets for...

Re: Showreel
Yes, I see your point re: an animatic. There are several reasons why this segment caught my eye. First of all, I enjoy looking at different animation styles. Also, I enjoy creating animated "dimensional" stills in After Effects. Last of all, a friend of mine who creates 3D interiors from t...

Re: Showreel
Nice! I love the variety of techniques and styles, especially the cut-outs mixed with photographic layers. Speaking of which, if I may make one critical observation, the fence layer in the front yard scene starting @ :13 seems to be placed too high and the layer behind it is exposed at the bottom. I...

Papagayo Replacement For Mac OSX 10.7
If you're running OSX 10.7 on your Mac and Papagayo is not working you might try this little java app: http://yolo.sourceforge.net Yolo seems to run perfectly on my iMac with OSX 10.7.4 and it is very similar to Papagayo. I found that I can import a .wav file, type in my dialogue, and after tweaking...

It's either Toon Boom Animate or Animate Pro. I believe he has now switched to Harmony since recording this tutorial.
