Re: Using a puppet for motion tracking

I put the premiere elements and used a chromakey effect to black out the background and saved the new file. Finally, I brought the video into AS and used the balloons as tracking points for the head/body layer and the jaw layer. Haven't tried motion tracking yet myself, but I don't think you need t...

Re: Boiling issue

I conjure the image of boiling spagetti sauce. In order for a buble to leave, there is an effect on the surface which looks something like a drop of water hitting the surface. So, at least for some of the particles, you could try having an animated drop splash. With the shape of the bubble and the d...

Two possible ways: 1. Import the whole logo as an image into AS and re-build it with AS' own vector tools. This works great and is fast enough, provided the logo is not too complex. +1 One thing to remember, how an image is built in photoshop or illustrator is often unimportant, the only important ...

You could have a simple 2D proxy as a background of your 3D scene, and animate over it in AS. Then just render your characters with alpha and import into Blender. But when you talk about interacting with the 3D scene, you're opening up a can of 3D worms. Maybe your questions would be best answered o...

Re: I Didn't Ask for Animated Blur....

Just to be sure, beside layer blur on the first page of the layer settings, there is also motion blur on another tab. It looks to me like you have motion blur.

Also, I could almost swear that I've seen layer settings change by themselves sometimes.

cycle keyframe per bone, or per layer?

The timeline looks like a cycle keframe would work per bone. But the results seem to reset when a different bone cycles.

Do cycles reset per layer? Or if there is a way to ensure one bone's cycling doesn't affect another's, what might I be doing wrong?

Hi Gnaws,
I know it's almost a year since this thread was posted, but I only stumbled upon it now. Is the animation clip still being shown somewhere? I got to see the dog.
I like your site, by the way. Bold characters, strong colors, fresh style.

Re: Render of still implements masking differently .png expo

The problem was when an imported .AVI file was being masked, only the mask was shown. The .avi file did not appear. Without the mask, the .avi file appeared. Rendering just the frame with control R rendered correctly. Export Animation as JPG or PNG renders incorrectly. For now I just manually render...

Flexible binding? What's that? If you mean the "Bind Points" tool It won't work on a png. I found in the menu "Bone" the Flexi-Bind Layer" Button but it won't do anything... flexible binding is less work. Did you try the tutorials? Unfortunately, this software, and animatio...

Seems like the easiest solution (also the only one i thought of before stopping) is to just "do it twice". In other words, on mask group for the reveal. Another mask group for the hide. Then I just copied the swipe layer - which holds the shape used to either hide or reveal - into both mas...

Render of still implements masking differently .png export

Is there some reason why a Render with Ctrl-R of a still to a ping image could be any different than the sequence of images using Export Animation - PNG? I have some masking of a video by a vector layer. It looks right in the still render, but the export animation of a sequence of stills loses the u...

Re: Animating with pictures, a la Jib Jab

How do I do animation using just pictures? Kinda like Jib Jab. Just the first few instructions would be helpful. Thank you Welcome to the forum. I'm usually excited with a new app and really want to hit the ground running, start right away. Manuals? We don't need no stinkin' badges... But seriously...
