Problems with saving to library

Hi all, I have been working all day trying to figure out what is happening with the library. As you're probably aware, Anime Studio's library resides in the root 'windows/programs/smithmicro/' directory on a PC. I know about dragging stuff into the library from other directories, I've done it, but w...

Slow tiger, I am trying to populate a scene with animatable characters, I use .png files for most things. Since the program now crashes I guess I will have to import and trace.

Thanks everyone for your help, I think I have my answer now

Anime Studio crashes when importing AI files

Hi all, I was having problems importing Illustrator files before (too many nodes) but now the program just crashes. Do I have to re-install the program or is there a fix?
thanks

Problems importing AI files

I am trying to import a friends drawings into anime studio pro. He created them in Coreldraw and exported them as Adobe Illustrator files, when I go to import them I get . . 'There are too many points and curves in this file, only part of the file has been imported' it then adds 'consider converting...

Thanks all, I guess the best way is to experiment. The trickiest part is not so much the cycle with me anymore, it's making it look natural.

Thanks guys! I'm not sure what 'save your animations as actions' is yet but I'll look it up.

Get rid of old keyframes

Hi, I just upgraded from Anime Studio to Anime Studio Pro. I made some content but did a so-so job of animating it, I want to get rid of all the old keyframes and start fresh.

Is there a fast way to get rid of all the old keyframes?

thanks

Import - Anime Studio Object

Hi all, doing a search on 'reusable content' the only thing I've come across is 'import Anime Studio Object' where you can import another project's content into your current one. This seems a bit cumbersome if you have a bunch of similar stuff you want to import. I know there's a library, what I hav...

Reusing content made in Anime Studio jr, keyframe removal

Hi all, I have recently upgraded from Anime studio to Anime pro. I made a couple of characters in Anime studio and they open in Pro no problem. What I'm trying to find out is how to make the characters reusable, and also to get rid of previous keyframes I made. In the previous animation program I us...

Walk cycle, front.

Hi all, I'm trying to make a walk cycle looking at my character from the front. It isn't going well. I'm wondering if I should stretch and shrink the bone layers in the legs to make them go up and down? I'm afraid I'm not very good at animating stuff like this, are there templates I could use or buy...

Recomended tutorials & version differences

Hi all, I've just upgraded from Anime Studio to Anime Studio Pro and I'm wondering what tutorials are available. I'm afraid I'm a bit dense in the 'software learning department' and even though I've mastered the basics in Anime Studio, I need a good foundation for doing animation. I've checked out o...
