Sprite Animation with 3D Effects (Smash Bros)
Here is my most recent animation. fvlFMMgvhzc I did everything in Anime Studio. I used a video file for the background fire of the intro and the Jigglypuff Fight. The 3D scenes are all 3D objects ripped from the Smash Bros Brawl Game. Most of the Smahs Bros sprites were actually created by a number ...

Shortcut Key Layers within a Switch Layer
I have a great idea for a script and I would love to find out if it was possible. I would like to assign shortcuts to different layers within a switch layer. Imagine one hand on the arrow keys to strum through the timeline and the other hand on the shortcuts. That could quadruple lip synching speed....

Re: Faster easier way to keyframe switch layers??
slowtiger, You seem to have a lot of influence in the Anime Studio community. What is the best way for me to get something like this going? Would it be best for me to try to connect with Smith Micro and make this a feature in Anime Studio 9 or would it be better for me to try to find somebody who ca...

Re: Faster easier way to keyframe switch layers??
It's a good idea, however, it collides with all other keyboard shortcuts already assigned to other actions or tools. Sure, I thought of that too. The actions menu, however, allows you to set your own shortcuts. When the animation is playing it deactivates the other shortcuts and allows you to use y...

Re: Shortcut Key Layers within a Switch Layer
I am really hoping somebody can help me do this. I have been checking this message board every couple hours and I am sad to see that nobody else is intersted in knowing how to do something like this. Does nobody else do manual lip sync?

Re: Faster easier way to keyframe switch layers??
Wow, this is exactly what I am talking about! It would be SOOO much easier to lip sync if all I had to do was scroll through the timeline and hit shortcut keys for each mouth layer. This seems like it would be extremely easy to program. I wonder why it is not already a feature anyhow. Clicking throu...

Re: Shortcut Key Layers within a Switch Layer
If there is no script available, it would be worth the time to make one.

Shortcut Key Layers within a Switch Layer
Is there a way to shortcut key different layers within a switch layer. It would be A LOT quicker doing lip sync with shortcut keys rather than having to right click and select the layer from a list every time. I tried to set it up using actions but the shortcut keys with the actions only work while ...

Sprite Character Tutorial

Mikey, Actually, yes. I download a sprite sheet from Spriters Resource online. Then I edit them in a graphic program. I seperate the different pieces like any typical puppet animation. http://www.pikaparody.com/Edited.png Then I double the size four times while preserving the hard edges. After that,...

Yea, Sprite animation was initially pretty difficult for me. I found out though that my problem was that the images were too small. Anime Studio would make the sprites blurry so I had to make all of them extremely large. But now I am really quick at sprite animation. Since I dont' really have to dra...

Thanks for the compliment about the writing and voicing. You are so right about the visual changes. Ever since I started animating, I have started becoming more aware of such things. Having that many changes though is not manageable for me currently since it takes so long. :-) I find the biggest wea...

Ninja Turtles - From Character Wizard
Video is located at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMROYu3NXc4 This is my first published video using the character wizard from AS8. I wanted to give it a try because I thought it would make the animation process faster. It ended up taking much longer because the switches and bones kept changing an...
