Due to the animation studio we work for closing down (or so it appears!) two friends and I are setting up on our own using mainly AS ofcourse :D My first assignment was to create caricatures of the 3 of us for the website. I was just testing out the rig for this late last night. http://www.dalematio...

Wow....unusual subject for animation but it worked well. Very dramatic. The music was perfect. You should be a film composer! :D

Hi Shanty,

1. Simply untick 'Enable Outline' in the 'Style' menu on the right..

2. Two connected points will create a perfect straight line. If you want sharp corners (if that's what you mean) click the 'Peak Points' tool (P).

Yes you can use your Wacom - I use nothing else. AS is a brilliant piece of software as you know from the demo. Look forward to your animation :)

I really dislike the Anime style but I had to purchase this character just to check it out and support the creator. For £20 it has to be a bargain for the educational value alone.

Surely what Vern, genete and the other clever people on this forum are doing in their research is making it easier to create fully believable 2D characters. It's not 3D it's just what most 2D animators have always strived for. Personally I am very grateful to them as it means i can probably use thei...

Some of the Wacom tablets do have pens that you are unable to replace the nib. I have a Volito 2 which I have had for nearly 2 years (everday use - I don't use a mouse at all on my laptop) and found excellent. I have seen them for £26 on Amazon! The pen has to be replaced when the nib wears (and I d...

I managed to download and view fine at work and it looks excellent. Really nicely done. I attempted something using this technique last week then got distracted creating a character for a friends project. I must have another go as my results were nowhere near as impressive as yours.

I liked it. The 'boiling' outline makes it look much more traditional hand drawn and the guy rolling across the floor was really well done.

It's difficult to get a long enough glimpse with such a brief shot but it looks to achieve the effect you were after.

Welcome to the forum. You will love AS I'm sure :D I sketch out my characters on paper and import the image into AS. I then trace over the image in AS creating the separate elements required - you will need to check out the tutorials for this but it's really easy so don't worry. The bones are then a...
