Re: The true road lies in the other direction

I've had a look at Moho mesh video and think this might be worth working with. Presently I'm facing my animation nemesis , that of walk cycles. I've got a concept animation on the go that requires a whole crowd of stylised people (never think small when facing your nemesis .) So when and (if) it wor...

Re: The true road lies in the other direction

Hi hayasidist. Will look into getting a wiggle. I agree with whats been written. But in the flat looks like what is my style, as it was at art college, silk screening and Lino block art etc. From your animators experience, what's the best way to get a wriggle? given what you've seen. There's no inte...

The true road lies in the other direction

As mentioned in last post. I do a lot of reading, primarily for ideas for my scriptwriting. Occasionally I come across something that can be animated.

Re: Be the one...

That's nice. Since I moved to Ireland, I have been reading lots of the Penguin books. I specially like the small editions. They are very cheap and give you a good sample of different short tales, poetry, essay, etc. Since English is not my first language, those editions really helped me to start en...

Be the one...

Short concept clip on Penguin books and reading in general. Since I've taken on the subject of Script writing, (no success to date!) been doing a lot of reading, so came up with this. Any comments welcome.

Re: Thread for walk cycle - learning

Thanks Greenlaw, will give it a go, once I'm through with continuing my research in the thread. So much to learn, so little time.

Re: Thread for walk cycle - learning

I've come across an Anime Studio Webinar in the How to section of the forum : Character Rigging for 2D Animators using Anime Studio by Victor from 2012: The question was posted by formxshape April 24th 2021: How do I make characters move more dynamically. https://youtu.be/sO4LrtMe9DE It answers all ...

Re: Thread for walk cycle - learning

Thanks again both of you. I was trying before amended replies and it wasn't quite working out. So checked the forum.
will get back to the drawing board, before I post anything more of the de-construction of Victors file. It incorporates the problems that I need to get to grips with.

Re: Thread for walk cycle - learning

Thanks both Synthsin75 and Greenlaw. So as I understand it the bones are made after you've rigged. They are separate and not parented to another bone. You then point bind to these joint bones and can be used in conjunction with SBA. As always will have to give it a go and get back to you. This might...

Thread for walk cycle - learning

I'm once again on the walk cycle task. I've uploaded what I think is a good example, although it maybe considered dated by some. The upload is from Victor's early work demonstrating his walk ruler. Attempted to make a facsimile. In the static pose it's fine, but once it's tasked with walking things ...

The Sisyphean Myth

Completed this with some struggle...Quicktime threw out some wobbles, kept getting stuck after three seconds. After a lot of elbow work it seems to have corrected itself (famous last words). https://youtu.be/PvPQVrW7i2U For some reason it defaults to 480 instead of 720 resolution in YouTube...that o...

David Vs Goliath - loosely based on the Biblical story

I've re-visited some of my earlier work with Moho and took up one of the pieces to apply some improvements. I've included a link to Dropbox (usually works) and hope anyone visiting might have some criticism or praise for the work before uploading to Vimeo / YouTube. I've begun working in GarageBand ...

New Year Greetings

Just to wish everyone a New Year and hope it starts the way you want to end it. I've been absent for awhile, mainly working on writing up ideas for screen plays, (no results as yet) but have been following the posts in-between. Some news that Moho now has new owners especially the Cartoon Saloon and...

TinyPic isn't showing on forum for upload maybe a glitch. Dropbox shares (right click) image to its list, but can't figure out how to upload to forum.
