Re: HS Shape - new version 9.50

The following info is for Windows, but I think it's mostly relevant for Mac too. Use the Install Script command from the Scripts menu, and point it to the folder containing the two script folders (ScriptResources, tool). The command will place the scripts and icons in their appropriate places in you...

Re: moho13.5 coming soon? What's the date

One more thought... Now this "bouncing ball" logo is "farewell" to the SM era. This is an emotional decision. It may be out of sentiment, rather than business judgment. Both logos resemble the letter 'M', so I think the new logo maintains connections throughout the years Moho has...

Re: moho13.5 coming soon? What's the date

I like the new logo. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51113246784_c2188b464b_o.png To me, a logo should meet three points: 1. Be distinct and recognizable 2. Be readable when scaled down to 16 pixels (favicon size) 3. Suggest a purpose or function The old logo was fine and met this criteria. For ...

Re: moho13.5 coming soon? What's the date

I think Discord is fine for real-time interactivity. I don't use it very often, but if there was an official Moho channel, I'd sign up. For longer text exchanges and archival use, I prefer this forum. I regularly search threads and posts made several years ago. To me, Discord isn't as good for that ...

Re: Problem in Moho 13

The problems with Moho 13.0's Smart Bone Action system runs pretty deep. Renaming the bones and SBAs in 13.0 will not fix some issues because the Actions are referencing internal IDs, not user accessible names like it does in Moho 12.5. This is problematic when rigging and animating characters that ...

Re: Vector Layer action not working

Without seeing a file or even a screen cap with relevant info, it's hard to say. Can you at least post a stripped down project with only the relevant bones and the layer? Even just part of the layer with no shading is fine if you don't want to share too much, so long as it illustrates the problem.

Re: Bitmap Character rig: Hiding eyes after leaving face.

This isn't to say you can't do this with one setup. The issue appears when you try to nest multiple masks. Simplifying the masking technique should work better if you need the matched preview and render result. A good example of something that looks complex but is actually simple (for Moho to displa...

Re: Bitmap Character rig: Hiding eyes after leaving face.

For example of what synthsin75 is talking about, take a look at the Puss rig in this video... https://vimeo.com/manage/videos/269815494 In the demo section, when Puss turns his head, notice how the eyes leave the head? This is a masking display error, but it does not affect the final render , so I j...

Re: Bones acting weird when setting up angle constraints

One more thing: I think what throws many new users off is that the first field for Angle constraints measures off from the 'left' side of the bone, and the second field measures off from the 'right' side of the bone. Visually, this can seem counter-intuitive. TBH, it still throws me off, and I've be...

Re: Bones acting weird when setting up angle constraints

Hi, We can't see your example images because they're on your local computer. You will need to upload the images to an online image server or a cloud storage service, and insert the links in your post. Without seeing the examples, I'm not sure I can help, but here's some basic info about using Angle ...

Re: how to mask no selected bones ?

By 'mask', do you mean hide the bones? If so, you should use Hide Selected Bones or Shy Bones. To invert a selection, use Select Inverse or Ctrl-I. So, to hide 'unselected' bones: 1. Select a bone 2. Press Ctrl-I 3. Select Hide Selected Bones or enable the Shy option. When setting up character rigs,...
