Re: Why would anyone choose to use Animate Pro?

We had training on TB Animate, years ago now, at the studio I worked at and I think all the animators hated it. The company seems to be run by not very nice people also. However, I've gone through all this before so won't go on about it again :D Everyone loved Anime Studio and we were due to use tha...

Re: My very first animation on Super8 Film

Thanks djwaterman! I'm honestly very surprised and pleased with the response these have received. The first one I would have been about 10/11. The second one a year or two older and this last one a year or two older again. This last one "The Blue Ball" I never got round to adding sound. I ...

Re: My very first animation on Super8 Film

Thanks Genete. I'm justfinishing off the last film and will post it here soon. This film features a blue ball. However, in the close ups I hadn't coloured the ball in as the felt tipped pens I used only lasted 2 drawings! So, last night I loaded the film into AS and created a blue vector shape on to...

Re: Dr. Cure. Constructive Criticism welcome!

I too was very impressed with this. The character is very pleasing to the eye and your English accent would easily have fooled me, had you not said you weren't English! Great stuff.

Re: My very first animation on Super8 Film

Definitely enjoyed the second video as well, very ambitious stuff!
Thanks Danimal. I have another one that I never got round to adding sound to so I might do that now. Also, I've done an extra shot, using Anime Studio, that I hope will blend in fairly seamlessly once I've added film grain :D

Re: My very first animation on Super8 Film

Thanks again hammerjammer. It's very strange to have these films viewed and judged almost 40 years after making them! Obviously whback then I could only really show to school friends and family. These days anyone can produce a film and have it seen by potentially millions of people and get immediate...

Re: My very first animation on Super8 Film

Danimal: Thanks. I started with flip books but I pesterded my parents for a Super8 camera for a few years and eventually got one.
F.M. : Thanks for the kind comments. I should remake this in Anime studio one day then :D

Re: My very first animation on Super8 Film

Thanks Hammerjammer. Yes, I'm 51 now so it was a long time ago. Seems like yesterday. I did used to storyboard everything out even then.
I will have to upload some more of my early stuff.

My very first animation on Super8 Film

I've just had all my Super8 Film transfered to AVI files and amongst it was my first animation. I was 10 or 11 years old. It's awful as would be expected. I had no idea how to keep drawings 'on model', although the drawings are bad to begin with. :D Anyway, I thought it'd be fun to post it here. XOW...

Re: Best character import practices

Oh no no, I never even thought about that as I've not used it. I should have made myself clearer from the start. You can see why I usually leave the question answering to the likes of Heyvern and Slowtiger! :D

Re: Best character import practices

Whilst I tend to agree, tracing can be a little problematic though: you'll often end up with several hundred points You end up with very few points. I've never used the Freehand Tool in Anime Studio. Always use the Add Point Tool (I should have mentioned that) to trace an image. It's very easy once...

Re: Best character import practices

I agree with Slowtiger. Create your character's in Anime Studio. There's no point in using other Vector software for drawing your character's when you can do it all in Anime Studio and save you causing yourself extra problems. Design your character's on paper or in drawing software then import the i...
