No preview option in the menus still.

Hiya,

Just wondering why there's still no option in the menus for the f5 animated preview generation. You basically have to know that f5 does this since it doesn't tell you anywhere, even in the manuals that this is what it does.

Re: AS9 point/timeline tips - things you need to know!

Might be worth sticking with them (for me) since I'm a bit dubious of that functionality then :)

Re: AS9 point/timeline tips - things you need to know!

Also, do the move/rotate/scale points etc tools work like the Fazek tools? Because I'd love to have that new point interpolation function and the fazek functionality in the one tool. I'd also like to be able to select multiple keys and set holds for them all, so you can't do that seems a bit of an o...

Re: AS9 point/timeline tips - things you need to know!

Hmm, not sure about that selected key frame being modified by point animation. Seems like that could cause a lot of problems with people forgetting to deselect keys and ending up with their animation screwed.... Maybe if it was toggleable in the dope sheet. It's a very nice feature, but it should be...

Re: Smart bones changes everything! Some examples

you're right... right now it doesn't do any of this - they only work on rotation and can only control point motion, curvature and line width - but support for more funcationlity will be built in in future I expect. It would be nice, but who knows when that'll happen :) however, MorphDials are built...

Re: Smart bones changes everything! Some examples

I don't see it either. One of Morph dials most powerful features is the ability to drag a bone between several bones and have the character morph between different actions attached to the bones. One of the ways I use this is for phonemes, having a papagayo phoneme set on a ring of bones and dragging...

Re: Python Scripting for AS

Python is used in LightWave 3d now, as well as Maya, and it's even what Papagayo is written in, so perhaps Python should be a next step!

Re: Please send suggestions for my scriptwriting

Sent Selgin. No problem! I always did find the tool menu unwieldy on my laptop with its limited screen height and had to uninstall tools to allow for a larger docked channel editor. Now in 8 I can have more tools again! Now if I could just get Actions panel docking that'd be nice!

Re: Please send suggestions for my scriptwriting

I've updated Fazek's tools to work with the new tool hiding behaviour. Does anyone need these or have I repeated someone else's work?

Turn off Lua Errors

Hiya,

Anyone tell me how I can do this? The 'Creating new objects in the middle of an action' error is very annoying.... Especially since everything seems to work 99% of the time anyway.

Thanks

A nice place in the UI for the Action panel

Heya,

I'd love to have the Action panel dockable to the end of the timeline. (or the start, just somewhere handy) so it doesn't hang about over the rest of the UI.

Thanks,

Mike
