Here's another little face test rig. Maybe sometime I'll try a character with more than one eye...!

Re: Have you seen/know anything about Ankama/Wakfu?
Also, I'd like to see anyone in flash do anything like a head turn with smart bones / animated points. Nearly impossible. Flash is so behind the times it's insane.

CartoonMonkey's Stuff
I though I'd start posting my experiments here, as to not clutter up the board! This was my breakthrough year with Anime Studio. Just in the last few days, I think I I've gotten it! I think I finally understand how to use the software fully and get the results I need without being overly frustrated....

Re: Properly flexi-bind in place?
Thanks! I noticed that sometimes the artwork on other layers is still distorted slightly using this method...
Unless I'm doing it incorrectly. I think I've got it though.. maybe. :-/

Properly flexi-bind in place?
I'm having a devil of a time figuring out if I'm binding bones and points correctly, with my model in place. Can anyone give me a step by step of the new "in place" rigging method using flexi binding? Here's my source file: http://www.cartoonmonkey.com/AS/riderv2.anime I have my character ...

I think I'm finally starting to understand a lot of what AS can do, and how to use it in my work.

Re: Step by step...
Thanks guys! I'm loving the stroke brushes, which I haven't played around with too much before. The possibilities are endless. I think I'm really starting to get advanced rigging and smart bones. I hope to study more this winter...

Re: A little test
Hey Victor, Don't be sorry! Your comments are welcome. I don't mind working hard on something, even if it could have been done easier, it's all a learning process. Thank you for taking the time to take a look at my rig! Those are just the answers I need. I've been trying to learn more about simpler ...

A little test
Phew. I just finished rigging this little cowboy monster rider in possibly totally the wrong way. I couldn't figure out how to get the reins to properly attach, for example.
Maybe this character is just too complex...
Take a peek at my anme file and the mp4:

Automatic Seq Image import to switch layer / Smart Bone Dial
Is it possible to import a series of images, and have those images automatically become a switch layer, controlled by a smart bone dial? I'd like to be able to do a bit of drawn animation in another software, and then import a stack of sequential PNG files, but have a smart bone dial automatically s...

Re: Automate imported image seq = smart bone
Oops, let me clarify. I'm using AS to do switch layer lip sync. I import a png sequence using Scripts - Import image seq. Then I delete all the keyframes from the layer that get added automatically. When setting up my smart bone to control the switch layer, I must adjust the smart bone rotation to e...

Automate imported image seq = smart bone
Is it possible to automate making a switch layer work sequentially with a smart bone, rather than having to set it up each time?
That is, I import - image sequence, -make a smart bone, then right click the folder, for frame one, right click for frame 2, etc..
Any way to automate that process?
