This is the magazine website if anyone is interested... http://www.imaginefx.com On another, more disappointing note, I notice someone is already selling copies of AS on Ebay in the UK for £19!! Hopefully this can be stopped. It always amazes me how Ebay just don't seem to care about this practice a...

Anime Studio review in ImagineFX Mag

Sorry if this has already been mentioned... Just read a very glowing review of Anime Studio Pro in ImagineFX, a UK mag devoted mainly to computer art. It also has a full page still of Cat Bastard and short interview with Paul Amesbury. I have bought the mag since issue 1 and love it so it was great ...

I love the design and music! I did have to watch 3 times to get the story. Maybe a close up of the type press (sorry can't think of correct name) being placed on the chair and another close up shot of it being sat on would've made it more obvious?

Excellent.

I've been looking forward to seeing your first animation with AS5 as it seems you purchased at around the same time as me.
The vocal performances are great, the lip synch looked spot on to me. The animation was very good for your first in AS and amazing if your first attempt at animation ever!?

I agree, the design is deceptively simple but very appealing and the animation is superb. Impressive :)

Thanks for making me feel better Rasheed, and you could be right, but I'm sure it's more likely down to my error somewhere along the line. I've only had one crash in AS so far and I've used it a LOT over the last week or so having been off work. Though I know nothing about programming I guess the fa...

I guess all I can do is try it again and see if I get the same result.
I am right in assuming I can copy an existing 'model' and just tweak it into a new one?

*EDIT
Well, it seems to have worked fine this second attempt so obviously I did something wrong, as usual, the previous time

I believe you have to select a shape first with the Select Shape tool before you can move it up or down the stack of shapes on a vector layer.
Yeah, been doing that but the icons remain shaded and the up/down keys have no effect. I'm sure it's going to be me but I can't understand why yet :)

Thanks for looking at this Rasheed. This is what the bone layer in the front view folder looks like on frame 0.

Layers not showing in 'bone mode'

This is confusing me...I copied the group folder for the front view of my character in order to create a back view (mainly by just deleting the facial features). You can see the front view and copied group folder here.... http://www.dalemation.com/Panda1.jpg However, in bones mode none of the copied...

Aha! Thanks Rasheed, that makes perfect sense. I was looking at it from completely the wrong angle - in the 'file' menu :?
