Re: Head turn attempt
Thanks Lumpy and Funksmaname. My friends kid me that the characters look like Miis and that the female character looks like Michael Jackson:) The animation was just to test the head moving so I locked the neck to just see the head turn. Thanks for pointing out the hair. For some reason it didn't jum...

It needs some tweaking, but here's my first pass. It was pretty easy!

Re: Masking eyes for a character???
Hi Selgin!
I know you're super busy, but did you read or watch anything that gave you tips on creating a 360 character? I follow you on Youtube and was very jealous when I saw that you visited Nina Paley for a one-on-one session. She was super luck to work with you!!!

Re: Masking eyes for a character???
Hi Neeters Guy! Hopefully it will be just one rig. I thought it would make sense to draw each position first as separate layers. When I start moving point for the bone rig, I can move them to where they need to go—kind of like using a guide or tracing paper. I put the turn around together as an anim...

Hey Vern!
Ha! I love the touch with the old parchment—classy! I'm really loving 9.5 so far. Can't wait to be done with rigging and to start animating. So far the process has been pretty quick:)

Re: Masking eyes for a character???
Thanks so much Synthsin75! Good to know. I thought it was me. Does anyone know if making complex masking show up properly will be addressed in a future update. I'm glad it wasn't user error;)
Thanks again!!!! Stay tuned for me of Jake

Masking eyes for a character???
Hi everyone! I was wondering if I was doing something wrong or maybe someone could enlighten me on a potential error (on my part of course). I'm working on a new character, Jake, and started working on a turnaround so I could start making a smart bone 360 turnaround. Here's an animated gif of Jake: ...

Change layer order in a smart bone action?
Hi there everyone. I have to say that I LOVE the new AS 9. It's an amazing upgrade. I've been working this week with smart bones. If I'm turning a body and I need an arm to go in front of a torso or behind at a certain point, is there a way I can do that with layer order? Any help would be great! Yo...

Re: Smart Bone Helpers by Ramón López
Hi everyone. I installed the Smart Bone Helper Tools on my Mac. The tools are in the tool bar when I launch the program the first time. When I open a new document, the tools disappear. For now I have "open last file saved" in the preferences so I can work with the bone tools when the progr...

Vern! Hey there. I check out your Youtube videos and they were super. You have a great knack and set of pipes for online tutorials. I really dug. One more question on the actions set up in the new timeline. In the old timeline the name of the action appeared in the timeline. Is that gone? and is the...

Timeline
I loved the old timeline but let me try this out. I think that is the most difficult thing to change and get people on board:) I'm sure Mike did a great job. His updates are better than any other software updates.
