Re: isolate and export animation without background

Yes it is possible, and you don't have to set up anything really... all you have to do is export your animation in a format that supports transparency (like png or avi).

Re: Mac OS 10.10 Yosemite

My advice would be to wait until you finish your project.

Is not a good idea to update software or the OS in the middle of a project.

Re: question re: Smartbones plus timeline

By default when you create a smartbone, it creates the keyframes in frame 1. I'm guessing that you are animating your layers in a different frame, lets say frame 24 or something like that, but you might be forgetting to change the rotating keyframes on the bone layer. (because by default the keyfram...

Re: how to correct this animation ?

The problem is that the bone strengths are affecting the whole character, if you are working with bone strengths i'll recommend you to use the flexi binding feature. I did it for you: (still needs fixing i just added the flexi binding) https://www.dropbox.com/s/5t710vfs1jl3hpk/flexi-binding.anme?dl=...

Re: Applying Linear Gradient and Creating Sub Layers

Well I didn't even know there was a trial version

But that's probably it, perhaps not all the features are unlocked in the trial version.

Re: Applying Linear Gradient and Creating Sub Layers

To create a gradient just select the shape with the Select shape tool (shorcut Q) Go to Style>Effect>Gradient... and that's pretty much it. About the layers, you can create a group or bone layer, and drag and drop the layers inside. You can find a lot of tutorials here to help you get started: http:...

You need to learn the principles of animation first, specially timing and spacing.

Re: Creating Shadows for Character Animation

Open the layer properties and find the "Colorizing" feature in the general tab.

I guess that's what you are looking for.

You can also apply some blur there.

Re: Offset Bones Tool

According to the anime studio website, it's also in the debut version.
You can find the coparasion chart here:

http://anime.smithmicro.com/comparison.html

But there is a new feature called Flexi-Binding, that kind of replaces the off-set tool.

Re: Inserting Images & Manipulate Bones

Because is not just about how to use the software, but you also need to learn how to animate, how to draw, principes of animation, design, colors, storyboard, sound, etc... A lot of peop...
