Beta 2 includes nudging. With any of the Translate Points/Bone/Layer tools, holding the Ctrl key while pressing any of the arrow keys will nudge the selected object. If you hold down the shift key at the same time, the object will be nudged a larger amount.

OK, I see what you're asking. I'm not sure of the status of Ming 0.3, but the beta is working well enough for Moho's purposes, so that's probably what Moho will ship with.

The Ming DLL is our own build, but you're welcome to use it if you want to.

Ming 0.3 be packaged with the final release of Moho 5?
Yes, it's the whole library. What do you mean by "packaged with" Moho 5? Yes, the DLL will be included, since it's critical to Moho's SWF export ability.

Excellent! Too bad about the Flash mixup near the end... Here's why it screws up after playing through once. Read the part about variable-width lines about halfway down my post: http://www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=79 Basically, if a SWF file gets too complex, Flash will start to choke on...

Let's try a test. Here are two Flash files, one with and one without compression. Could somebody with Flash 5 try importing these files and tell me how it goes? (I have Flash MX 2004 here, and can't find a copy of Flash 5.) Here's with compression (194KB): http://www.lostmarble.com/downloads/moho5be...

Yeah, it could be a poll, but I'm more interested in hearing why Flash 5 is still important to people, rather than just some voting numbers.

Moho and Flash 5

It seems there is a problem with the SWF files Moho exports and the Flash 5 authoring tool. Flash 5 apparently cannot open Moho's SWF files, and the issue may be due to compression. So, what I want to ask here is how important Flash 5 is to everybody. It may be possible to add an option to export SW...

I'm using Flash MX 2004 here, and it works fine. What's happening in Flash 5? It it importing incorrectly, or is it refusing to import at all or what?

If it's importing incorrectly, what problems are you seeing?

3 - Never gonna happen. When we get the manual written, we'll include a section on Flash - what can be exported, what can't, how to optimize your file if Flash is the intended target, etc. Brushes in particular are just one of those things that Flash doesn't support. You could simulate it in Flash b...

If you want phoneme-accurate lipsync, you still need to use Magpie or Pamela. If you want volume-based lipsync, Moho can do that without extra software. Take a look at Tutorial 15 in the Moho 4.6 manual for a demonstration of volume-based lipsync. Try it - it actually works pretty well and is much f...

What you're experiencing is not a bug, but a feature. When using a tablet, the freehand tool uses the pen pressure to control the line width, and ignores the line width setting. When the freehand tool is active, you can bring up the Freehand Options popup (just below the menubar) and disable pen pre...

Moho 5 and Flash

Now that Moho 5 beta 2 has been released, I want to fill you in a little bit about working with Moho and Flash together. The SWF export function is much more compatible with the Flash authoring tool now. In beta 1, SWF files would play back fine in the Flash player, but when imported into the Flash ...

I don't know much about SVG, but because of the "unique" way Moho represents vector artwork, there is some loss when importing EPS files. Moho doesn't treat curves the same way as Illustrator for example, so when importing an EPS file, there is a certain amount of approximation going on in...
