OS debates
Well some OS debates have reared their ugly head lately, so I thought I'd attempt to coral them here. I've never owned a Mac and know that I don't have the inclination to run Linux, but here's my view so far. When I bought my laptop, I went with Windows solely for available software. Regardless of a...

Standard has scale compensation. Since everyone seems to be taking guesses at this, I'd suggest PMing the file to someone on here (if you don't want to share it publicly) or posting a simple file that illustrates the problem. This is the only sure-fire way to find a solution. It's just hard to guess...

Re: I'm Not Sure
I don't know! When I click export the export animation dialog box comes up. Then it skips the AVI video compression box and goes straight to the export progress box but the thing is nothing progresses. It just shows one of the scenes for a second then the box closes. I get this exact behavior if I ...

I totally agree, Vern. Great stuff is lost in that sea of mediocrity (mediocrity being kind). And don't get me started on some of the pricing. I think they really need a customer rating system for the products. If the product isn't what you expected, then rate it such and others will be able to avoi...

I'm not a big South Park fan (well except for the Buck Rogers spoof). No complaints, for its style. But I'm afraid most of the humor was lost on me. You might try to reach a broader audience. (Granted, I haven't seen Twilight.) Also, while it seems you did try to distinguish the characters a bit, I ...

http://www.lostmarble.com/moho/manual/flashtips.html See this part of the user's manual for all the Flash dos and don'ts. As far as scenes. Yes, it is best to create each scene in its own AS file for performance reasons. But AS can then be used to combine these in any order. There are a couple of o...

Are you on Mac or PC? There is an export bug fix for Mac, but that usually involves ASP crashing. Is there any chance that you have a previously rendered movie of the same project still open anywhere? If you render and then render again with the last video open, it won't work until you close the mov...
