my project exports to AVI but crashes AS if porting to Flash

I am using AS7PRO on a Win 7 64-bit machine. I have a project that ports to AVI just fine, but crashes when I try to make a Flash (SWF) version. It crashes in exactly the same place in the SWF render every time I try to render it. It looks like the location I use my first Action, but this could be a...

How do I copy an Action?

I want to make a new Action that is close to an Action I already have. So, I'd like to copy the one I have, rename it, edit it, and save it as a new Action. Is this possible? Also... can I adjust the duration of an existing Action? Say an Action takes 24 frames.... can I lengthen it to 48 frames wit...

How to draw a straight line segment

How does one draw a straight line segment of a given color and thickness? Draw rectangles, circles, triangles, stars and spirals... sure.... don't see a 'draw line' tool. The 'add point' tool seems to want a closed shape before anything is drawn, and ALL the tutorial only dealt with closed shapes su...

if you go to your drop-down menus, edit, project settings; you can try playing with enabling the depth of field option. There, you can set parameters for focal distance, focal depth and blur radius. I didn't see those, thanks! It looks like the setting is for an entire project.... but I didn't know...

Other Camera Parameters

Camera's can be moved and pointed with all degrees of freedom in a 3D space. So motion is complete. What I can't find is an ability to change the focal length of the camera. I noticed if I move the camera too far away from a plane I get a fish-eye effect. So there is some 'lens simulation' going on ...

The only thing I see TB6 can do that (as far as I know) AS can't is stop-motion animation and time-lapse photography. Both require a real-time camera hook-up. I think the bone feature must be the main new one, since in their demo videos the bone one is the only one without narration. This suggests i...

Seems like a 3D animator to me!

Here is a quote from tutorial 5.8 (AS7PRO): Anime Studio isn’t a full 3D program - layers in Anime Studio are 2D planes that exist in a 3D space. I guess this is what you could classify as a 'reverse complaint'...hehe How exactly ISN'T Anime Studio a full 3D program? The fallacy in the above quote i...

You need to have an .mp3 version of your soundtrack in the same directory as your .anme file when you export to Flash format. In other words, you can use a .wav file for checking real-time stuff in the program (lip-synching etc.), but to embed sound in the exported .swf file you will need to store ...

Flash and sound

I have created an animation with a sound track (loaded in at frame 0, and goes the duration of the clip). I exported it to both an AVI and a Flash file. I embed the Flash file in a webpage. The AVI file plays the sound fine. If I go to the webpage with the Flash version, it animates fine, but I hear...

I fine that Papagayo is over kill. If you just use Papagayo exactly as the phoneme are placed on each word you will have way to much mouth movement. I concentrate on the mouth opening and closing to the volume and length of each sound (not word). I use the two frame rule and think of how the mouth ...

what exactly are you trying to achieve? Aside from the standard phenomes you can always right click a word and in the text box at the bottom add whatever you want... it takes the automation out of it but then where do you pan to get a 'text to phenome language' translator anyway!? what you can do t...

Other 'vocabularies'?

Now that I understand how Papagayo and Switch Layers work, I REALLY like them! I notice the version I downloaded of Papagayo has (by default) a ten phoneme vocabulary (AI,L,FV,MBP,E,rest,O,U,WQ,etc) for the files it produces. Can one get Papagayo to use a different phoneme vocabulary (which I realiz...

After you select none you need to go to the time line and delete the key frames the auto sync put in. That's a good tip. Thanks! But I'm not selecting 'None'. I'm selecting the audio sync source to be a data file, and even though it is using it, it still says 'None'. I believe it should say the nam...
