Woah! Great, perfect! Thanks!Lukas wrote:Select the bone with the 'Select bone' tool, and in the 'Bone constraints' dropdown menu, enable 'Squash and stretch scaling' and set the value to 1.

Stretch and Squash with Transform Bone Tool
Can the Transform Bone tool stretch a layer in two dimensions ant the same time? I sometimes use the Transform Bone tool to change the dimensions of the character's body parts (to simulate a cartoon stretch and squash effect) but if I operate the bone's stretching function (by acting on the little c...

True, I use those commands all day long. I just hadn't thought of using them for looping a cycle.synthsin75 wrote:Or ctrl+left-click for start and ctrl+right-click for end.

Ah, hadn't thought of that. Clever idea, thanks!slowtiger wrote:When I work on a cycle I just set the project's length to the cycle length - easily done with alt-click in the timeline.

Pasting keyframes without losing cycle settings?
Let's see if I can explain what I mean. Say I have a cycle of 48 frames. The keyframe of frame 48 is therefore identical to the keyframe on frame 1. If I change the keyframe on frame 1 and want the cycle to be correct, I must paste keyframe 1 to keyframe 48. But that automatically loses the cycle be...

Re: Cintiq and ASP11?
I did this in freehand, it's pretty limited animation but it shows the possibilities for sketchy drawing and I am sure the freehand tools will only get better with each version. o-FaqyvywxY Hey, great, very fresh looking animation chucky! Thanks for sharing. True, one can get very loose and artisti...

Re: Cintiq and ASP11?
Drumlug, I can see what you mean. I find that ASP11's vector drawing tools are very good indeed providing you 'build' characters and stuff point by point, or by modelling raw shapes. Where I find it can be a little frustrating is in freehand drawing (the Freehand tool is much better than it used to ...

Re: Cintiq and ASP11?
That pretty much nails my doubts. The smallness of the UI, on a small screen. I am looking at the 13" Cintiq because I work very often on the go. But screen size is not the only doubt. For example, like everyone, I tend to work with keyboard shortcuts a lot. How does that change on a Cintiq? On...

Cintiq and ASP11?
Since November, when I first started using it, ASP11 has rapidly become one of the applications I use the most. Now I'm thinking about buying a Cintiq 13 HD (it would be my first Cintiq, so far I've been using regular tablets, the latest being an Intuos 5 touch), and while I have no doubt it will be...

Re: Single line with stroke: must it be done in two moves?
Thank you for that explanation. True, I did notice that fork feature and found it useful. Not seeing the line form as one goes along is a little strange and needs a little getting used to when you come from most other vector drawing, on the other hand ASP's vectors are really fun and flexible once y...

Re: Single line with stroke: must it be done in two moves?
Well, the bucket solution is another way I didn't know about. Quite similar to 'create shape', I guess. I admit that being able to see the line 'live', so to speak, as you go along creating it point by point, would be nice. I find the two-step procedure of point-building and then attributing propert...

Single line with stroke: must it be done in two moves?
I cant' seem to draw a vector line with a stroke in one move. Say I create a simple line with the 'add point' tool. Two, or three points. I get a spline of the line but I can't find a way to create it with a stroke as I go along or close it at the end some way so it will know it should have a stroke...

Re: Save settings for Layer Properties?
Ok, very useful, big time saver.
I guess a Save Settings menu would still come in handy, because it could (maybe) be used across files and i feel being able to save settings profiles would give more control. Having said that, your advice is a big step forward, thanks!

Save settings for Layer Properties?
Unless it's out there and I haven't found it, I'd find the ability to save Layer Properties very useful. For example, if I want to share the same shadow, or vector settings of one layer to another layer, now I have to copy them number by number. If I could save them with a name and then choose them ...

Re: "Set Layer Start Time" doubts
Ha, yes I guess one should always be wary about wishing out loud "why not add the option to..." because that's what ends up making software bulky.
