Dammit. I still have'nt gone to bed!!! Vern yes, scale rotate is where it started for me looking at muuvists original post, but the real revelation was in the first version of the silver surfer head where I binded selected points to the head AND combined a horizontal translate. A whole new 2D, 3D co...

Thanks Genete and jahnocli. I am not offended. The reason I made this head was to decisively do some experimentation that directly applies to the Human Model. This T-Rex has shown that things like body, ears, nose, arms hands in fact any shape is possible to make using the original technique...which...

Hi all. Genete...it's a little late here so near time for bed. The T-Rex only has the 4 main control bones for rotation as per the human head. T-Rex has 14 bones in total including a root bone for parenting to the body but most of these bones do nothing but scale selected points in the head. Caprico...

Genete. I am just using the open source model and bone structure like a sketch pad to develop other elements like nose, ears, hair etc so don't be offended if you see my files are not including any new forum developments by other contributers. It just makes it a lot easier and quicker to develop wit...

Oh thank you Vern !!! :) :) :) I just don't have the time to spend on it at the moment but I desperately want to keep the momentum up. (you know what it's like). EDIT: Just played with the file and it is great thanks Vern!!! Now I am I'm going to make a set of ears in the same vein as the head and n...

Hi Vern. I would like to have a better parenting solution rather than layer parenting. A way that is easy to import elements like noses etc that can be placed on the model.

EDIT
Vern - Stealing!!!
I don't like the sound of that term.

Ok, I just woke up and have been to a conference so I have not had much time to post or play. Here are the files and a problem I need someone to help figure out. Here is the nose file. This nose works exactly the same as the head. Just a slightly different mechanism, similar to Genete's Springy Mech...

This nose also masks out the opposite line as it turns.

3 bones for this nose. That makes still a very low bone count for the model.

EDIT:
I tracked the nose with the camera in this version

I have just worked out a simple technique for the nose :). It works great!!! I can't post anything at the moment as I have other matters to attend to, I just sat down for ten minutes to test the idea so the files need a bit of polish but basically it's pretty neat :)

Hi Vern. Hey that's fantastic. Also, if you feel like it, please feel free to follow your own path/thread if you get the urge. I like your idea of having two or maybe more models to choose from. As for me, like i said i am going to concentrate on making a solid model with AS's tried and true nuts an...
