Thanks for the responses, guys.
Wow, I never thought MotionArtist would be a solution! Thanks for pointing that out, I'll have to look into that.
Hopefully, HTML5 export comes to Moho soon, though.

HTML5 export in near future?
Hi, seeing as the Flash format is quickly coming to an end, I'm looking into how to convert my existing website elements, as well as figure out what software I'll be using to create future website (vector) elements. Are there any serious plans to have Moho able to export HTML5 versions of animations...

Timeline control?
I've used Actionscript quite a bit in the past, but am totally new to Moho scripting.
Does Moho currently have equivelants to things like gotoAndPlay()? and random number generators?

Re: Separate, multi-bone arm layer, parented...
Hello again, Greenlaw. Thanks for all the input. Much appreciated! I'll have to read though your post really carefully, as there's a lot of good info there, I think. I'm just quickly checking in right now. I suspect the answer is in your latest post. The only layers that use a warp mesh are the two ...

Re: Separate, multi-bone arm layer, parented...
Hi, Greenlaw. Ya, that's the weird thing... All those layers SHOULD be assigned to a specific bones, so I'm really not sure why the arm bones are still grabbing a bit of the torso (just the lower back and a part of the waist, in this case). It's minimal, so you just get a little bit of 'smear/push' ...

Re: Separate, multi-bone arm layer, parented...
Update: Okay, I tinkered/battled with it some more... I tried putting the warp mesh and bitmap into a separate (arm) bone folder, just to see if the other (non-arm) bones were interfering. I wasn't sure if I would be able to still parent the bicep to the spine/torso bone (since they were now 'separa...

Re: Separate, multi-bone arm layer, parented...
Hello again, guys. Well, I'm still struggling a bit with this... I keep having partial success, using various techniques, but each one has a partial issue. To recap, I have a bitmap-based character with a one-layer arm (bicep/forearm/hand combined) with three bones controlling it, attached to the ma...

Re: Separate, multi-bone arm layer, parented...
Cool, thanks Dueyftw. I tried out the Flexi-Bind feature. It worked, but there was a bit of pull on the torso. I tried combinations of having the arm bone strengths higher/lower, and the torso (behind the arm) bone strength higher/lower... but never got the torso pull fully off. I suspect that the i...

Re: Separate, multi-bone arm layer, parented...
Hello, Greenlaw. Interesting... I'll have to look into that, and see if that works for me next time I have a moment to test that out. That would be really great, if it did. I forgot about some of the newer features introduced in the latest update. Moho definitely puts some useful stuff in the update...

Re: Separate, multi-bone arm layer, parented...
Hi, DueyFTW. Ya, I just wanted to be sure that there wasn't some way to do it, that I wasn't aware of. It's a shame you can't parent a bone folder to another skeleton (...put the bone folder (arm) into the bone folder of the rest of the body, along with all the other 'body' layers). That would do th...

Re: Separate, multi-bone arm layer, parented...
Hi, Dale. Ya, that's with a multi-layer arm, which is easy. My question is with a SINGLE layer arm being driven by multiple bones (See my diagram... each colour is a separate layer). It's also easy enough to do a single layer with multiple bones... but the problem is then when you want to attach tha...

Separate, multi-bone arm layer, parented...
Hi. I ran into something during my latest animation project, and I'm not sure how something can be done (if it even can)... I have a multi-layer BITMAP character (head, torso, legs, etc), and built an animation skeleton for it. I have the near/FG arm, as a single layer, positioned above the rest of ...

Re: Questions about rigging bitmap characters
(Moments later....) GOT IT!! Okay, so as you say, the key is to bind EVERYTHING... Initially, I thought you meant just be sure everything is bound by SOME means (including the auto binding resulting from having layers under/inside a bone layer)... but then I specifically did the same 'use selected b...

Re: Questions about rigging bitmap characters
Hi, Greenlaw. Thanks for the reply! Ya, it's still not working for me... I have a regular rig (center spine, going up to head, two legs attached to first (hip) bone, and two arms attached to the chest bone... and three bitmap layers (separate head, body/legs, and arms). The whole rig works fine, in ...

Questions about rigging bitmap characters
Hi. I understand the ways of rigging a bitmap character when each bone gets an isolated bitmap body part (character cut up in each moving part)... as well as how to rig several bones controlling different parts of a single bitmap. But, what I'm trying to figure out currently, is if and how you can d...
