Re: render farm for mac

Ok, Moren is working again but there's some more I need to do. Here's what I was thinking... 1.) You have AnimeStudioPro installed on all your slave machines. No need for them to be running as MoRen will do so when needed. 2.) You have a copy of MoRen installed on all your slave machines and running...

Re: render farm for mac

Well, I'm currently rewriting MoRen for OS X at this very moment. Maybe I can make it so that MoRen watches a folder and if a new *.anme file is put in that folder, MoRen will render it. I'm not sure if that is the best option or not and I'm not making any promises. I'm just fiddling with it now and...

Re: render farm for mac

Render farming from AS requires AS to be installed on all machines. The only true way for this to be done is if the developer creates render slaves that are not full versions of AS. Otherwise, just install AS on multiple machines and batch render. I made an app sometime ago called MoRen. But for som...

Yes, the images (png format) can be used in Corona. You'll lower the file size if Corona supports sprite sheets. Don't export particle effects from Anime Studio to use in Corona. The file size would be to large. It would be better to export a png image and have Corona's scripting engine or feature r...

It all depends on your needs and how well you are trying to optimize your game. Sprite sheets or strips are the most common and sheets or strips can be switched out with others. So you can have as many actions you want. This method can be optimized by color reduction, size and limited fps for each s...

Re: Moren on W7?

I tried it today on W7 - didn't work at all ;-{ After only 1 sec it said finished - a 1000 frame file; of course I found nothing. I noticed an issue a while back when trying to work with AnimeStudio through the command line. So MoRen may be broken until I get a chance to figure out what has changed...

Looks like a nice program but would like to see a hobbyist price tag. Will try the trial out though and see what it has to offer.

Sounds cool but I'm anti Happy Holiday and pro Merry Christmas. I could never take Christ out of Christmas or just call it a holiday. But I'll be looking forward to seeing what ever the chosen winner has made. ;)
