I agree that's an amazing shader and it's not even using Freestyle.
This is what will be possible when Freestyle is available in the main trunk:

The guy that did this is actually now the main developer behind the integration of Freestyle, so it's in very good hands.

I'm actually learning Blender at the moment, by going through Blender Foundations book by Roland Hess. I'm actually not finding the interface too difficult, once I learnt that you could swap the left and right mouse buttons :). I heard that the interface was improved a lot in version 2.5, so perhaps...

I wlll have to find the files again.. but if not, i will start again! I had started on Stylos. How were you able to order it from amazon.jp?? they don't allow ordering of software or games from outside Japan! Wow, that's great to hear that you might be able to continue on with your translation of R...

Wow, you really started translating Retas Studio? I bought it off of amazon.co.jp a while back, but haven't really been able to do anything with it since. I would love it if you could send your translation files of what you've done so far. I could even try and continue your work. I agree that using ...

My PC is Japanese so it may just default to that locale. I could translate and localize it but it would take time which i don't really have. Sounds like you have done it before. Are there any good tutorials for translating Japanese programs into English? I'm guessing it would involve byte substitut...

Live2D
Anyone know anything about the Japanese software, Live2D (cough, Patmals, cough)?

It seems to be very Anime Studio like, only it uses bezier curves to influence points instead of bones.

I have in mind a script that could do the upconversion to 24 in a smart way so you could keep the smooth camera moves and tweak any frames that need it. That's interesting Rudiger. What would be the difference from regular interpolation? Well, for selected channels, it would create keys on every fr...

One very good reason not to up-convert 12 to 24 is camera moves. A character animated on 2s and a camera move on 24 is much smoother than a 12 * 2s. Even if the character is moving forward on 2s on a 24 frps camera move, ASP's inbetweening minimizes or removes any cometting/bulleting. Rhoel Yeah, t...

Hey thanks for providing all of the tech support, jonbo. I'm in a different timezone, so people often post about the problems they're having with my scripts when I'm fast asleep, so it's great that you can help them out straight away. I feel like I should cut you in for some of the sales money :). A...

LOL. 12 fps is pretty sweet for internet and downloads, as it makes smaller file size. But if you output for tv, film, dvd, bluray etc, then you need 24 fps. Also, running things at 24 fps also allows you to go on one's if need be, one's being used for very fast actions. While it's trivial to conve...
