Re: New Webinars?
I know it's probably very unrealistic, but I'd like to see a project covered from start to finish. Not the scripting or storyboarding, but something from designing/creating the set, the characters, the rigging, the animations (specifically interactions between characters), dialog, special effects (i...

Re: How to make character positions in anime studio
The above method is not the only way, and it is for the truly serious artist and animator. If however, you're starting out fresh, tackling that level of SmartBones could be daunting. So instead, create your character like the Character wizard does itself. Create three characters, fully rigged, each ...

Re: Best budget tablet for drawing and importing?
Early last year I got the Cintiq 13HD, plugged it in for usage with Manga Studio as well as Anime Studio and hated it. Absolutely hated it. For the same reasons I dislike using ASP and MS on my Tablet. The application interfaces just do not scale to tablets well enough (for me). Now it sits over on ...

Re: Switch layers or Smart dials?
I love SmartBones, and use them a lot. However, I've never been very clear on how to use a mouth that uses SmartBones with lip synching... I like the style of animation of a mouth using SbartBones, but I don't wish to manually animate a character mouth for a long piece of dialog...

Re: Recommendations for affordable alternative to WACOM
I've got several messages in this forum about Surface Pro 3 tablet, and using Anime Studio Pro. For me, and it's strictly my opinion, it is unusable. Everything is way too tiny, buttons, cursor, points, etc...

Re: Transition from Toon Boom to Anime Studio 11?
Thanks for the feedback, dkwroot. Some of this stuff we know about and would like to improve. Some of it is kind of new. I didn't realize that some people didn't like working with the Layers panel, for example. As far as the appearance of the UI, can you be specific about what looks bad? I'm not tr...

Re: Transition from Toon Boom to Anime Studio 11?
While dkroot listed some good advantages of Toon Boom over Anime Studio, what he fails to mention is how overly complicated Toon Booms approach is for character animations. Sure there's power in there, but you really have to jump through some hurdles to get at them. The network nodes thingie is a be...

Re: Anime Studio wins!
I have a friend who claims that drawing in Flash is so much easier and more straight forward than it is in ASP, and I've been trying to convince him otherwise. I don't have any screen recording stuff, and I don't necessarily want to get any since it's something I don't do... I was wondering if you c...

I want to, but the ASP interface doesn't scale, and the application is unusable, for me, on the tablet because of it. Which is a real shame...

Re: Recommendations for affordable alternative to WACOM
About a year ago, I bought a Cintiq, the 13HD I think it was... Hooked it all up, and used both Manga Studio and Anime Studio on it, and instantly hated it. For a lot of the same reasons... everything being so gosh durn small on it. I disconnected it, and threw it in the closet, and there it sits. I...

Re: Recommendations for affordable alternative to WACOM
My resolution on the Surface Pro 3 is 2160x1440... I suppose I could try to lower the resolution a bit, but for my day to day handling, this resolution works fine. Illustrator and Photoshop have tablet UIs that work well with tablets, so I haven't thought to turn my resolution down...
