Re: Recommendations for affordable alternative to WACOM
I got my Surface Pro 3 specifically to work with art/graphics stuff, but ASP (for me) just isn;t that usable since the cursor is so small, the buttons are so small, drawing with the stylus causes my hand to cover up too much of the screen, errant touches on the screen causes artifacts, etc... I'm ho...

Re: Morph Targets vs Smart Bones
I was a hardcore Morph Targets user in the past, but since the inclusion of Smart bones, I simply don't use them anymore. The main problem about Morph Targets is they add actual keyframes on every single layer involved. That makes that any time you need to fix the timing, you are forced to move the...

Morph Targets vs Smart Bones
I'm curious, with the addition of SmartBones, and the enhancements of this feature in every new version, is there really any reason to still use morph targets?

Re: Help Shape the Future of Anime Studio
I'm fairly certain this has been asked for, maybe even many, many times... but by adding another request for it would show greater support, right? So I'd like a UI overhaul to be more tablet friendly. The cursors are to small, the buttons are too small, I haven't quite figured out how to do hotkey c...

Re: Toon Boom announces new products (and prices!)
I have ToonBoom Animate Pro, and I find it frustratingly complex. Especially for the rigging and deformers. And that whole networking node based thing is even more complex and complicated. I'm just not liking it much.

Re: Surface Pro 3 users
I don't have a Surface Pro 3, but I have the 2, and hated using ASP with it. As you said the icons are too small. Way, way too small. In fact, my Surface Pro sits on a shelf all but forgotten.

Re: Motivation?
Unfortunately, I don't have an answer but I fully know the dilemma. I'm not a professional, I do it strictly as a hobby. My biggest problem is my technical skills haven't quite caught up to my imagination. I have all sorts of great things planned out in my head, but when it comes time to actually do...

Re: 3D with Anime Studio + Blender
Now that Anime Studio Pro 10.1 supports FBX export, is it possible to go in the other direction? Import our 2D characters into the 3D environment of Blender (or other 3D app that supports FBX) for animation purposes?

Re: cutting out an image
Or perhaps use making to hide the backgrounds... best bet is to actually edit them in an image editor though.

How come it takes so long to do even the most simplest rudimentary things? So much for quickly climbing the learning curve !! :? :? http://youtu.be/C2AhUu5Jsvo Such as? Somethings take longer for some people, somethings don;t take so long for other people... It's just kind of a fact of life...

Re: Crashes crashes crashes
I dunno... I understand the frustrations that can occur when crashes happen, but without knowing more details, we cannot unequivocally state it's the programs fault... It could be something you did, or didn't do... And personally, I prefer software that can show a bit of humor and not take itself to...

Re: Just Upgraded!
This whole thread just really bugs me. Someone going on and on about how great the features of an older version of the program is, features most of us have been using for quite some time already. Then that person goes on and on about how this software is too expensive, it should be cheaper, and that...

Re: Just Upgraded!
Also, why don't Smith Micro lower down the official price of Anime Studio Debut and Pro, since Pro 9 the official price of the software was 299.99$, Pro 8's official price was 199.99$, way overpriced IMO, I think Pro is worth about 79.95$ and Debut is worth about 29.95$ You're joking, right? Have y...

Re: Just Upgraded!
I tried the demo version of V10, I like all the features, but the new features it includes are not worth the extra money, ASP9.5 was only 59.95$ on Amazon, and ASP10 is about 250$, not worth the extra money at all IMO. I can't release info on how much money I make, here's a hint, I'm a monetized Yo...
