Re: 3DCutOut - A New Fully 2,5D Animation System inside 3DS
your price point is a joke when Anime Studio doesn't cost much more than the plugin for that 3D app. Nowhere in my post did I compare our price with Anime Studio's price. In fact, I often recommend Anime Studio to people who don't need what CelAction2D can do - probably far more often than I should...

Re: 3DCutOut - A New Fully 2,5D Animation System inside 3DS
When I see at a glance, 3DCutout has very similar concept with Celaction2D. If you have 3DS Max license, it will be more advantageous to use it than Celaction. Well I guess we must be doing something right, if people are using us as the apex benchmark for cut-out animation and comparing us to a pac...

Andy, you mention the feet sliding in Gilles example. He could have corrected that easily if he'd just spent a little more time on it. Also, likewise with the trouser legs. Gilles could do another pass and animate the points on the trousers and they'd look a lot better. Absolutely correct. But it a...

In response to Andy's post, I made this small walk cycle test in ASP, took like 15 minutes to animate, no feet sliding and quality is awesome if you do not mind me being a bit full of myself. Nice work, Gilles! Unfortunately the foot sliding is a big deal, at least to our clients, also the shirt sl...

So, let's start by your points: I'll not bother quoting all your post, so as to save space. Remember, I'm not criticising you or your animation - if anything, I'm just explaining the differences between an animation test and a full-blown TV quality animation production. 1. Feet sliding - Yes, of co...

They've written. I've applied for that, for a demonstration and for buying the product. But no reply from them :( Maybe your e-mail got stuck in our Spam filter. Did you send it from a free e-mail provider (Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail, etc.)? We do reply to all the e-mails we receive. But you have PM'd m...

I can give you a few insights about the production of Humf and the use of CelAction2D. Firstly, that's nice work Selgin! Especially for such a short amount of time! However, there's a few important things that you are missing in your animation that our clients (King Rollo Films) would not find accep...

A bit nervous since you got a slap on the wrist in the other thread Andy? :D Actually, I didn't think the slap on the wrist was for me, since I didn't start anything. :) I only come on this forum to correct misinformation or if I can actually help AS users. I didn't even mention our new 3-D stereos...

I think it's inappropriate for me to promote CelAction2D here on this forum, but I'm happy to answer specific questions about it, especially where it involves a pipeline that includes Anime Studio. If people are interested in general information about CelAction, they should go to our website (which ...

Okay guys, let's stay on topic. YOu want to talk about CelAction move it to the other software forum or to their forum. Apologies, Vern, I was just correcting someone else's false assumption. If anyone wants to continue to talk about CelAction in the Other Software section, I'll be happy to meet th...

CelAction is great but, animation wise, there is nothing in CelAction you can't do in Anime Studio as far as I remember. In fact you are limited to cut-out style and (unless it's changed) you can't animate the layer order and no nice smooth bending joints. If you just want to do basic cut-out anima...
