Re: Appending ASP files
Many thanks to you all. Much appreciated. I use Premiere Pro professionally so assembling multiple outputs isn't a problem. I just wondered if I could keep it to first generation, if possible. I'll investigate the png approach which, I understand, can preserve transparency. It might be better than A...

Appending ASP files
Hello,
In the training tutorials, it's said that it's better to create separate ASP files for each scene of a multi-scene animation.
How does one assemble them, afterwards, into a single file/output, please?
Thank you.

Re: Tutorial 1.5 question (cycling)
Hello! Ignore my witterings above... I've just heard that Infinite Skills have just released their training video for ASP 11! Here's the link if it's of interest (they've got 40% off at the moment): http://sites.fastspring.com/smithmicro/product/26864?utm_source=smithmicro&utm_medium=email&u...

Re: Tutorial 1.5 question (cycling)
Hello again. So far, it strikes me that this program is quite complex... a reflection of its power more than anything else. You may be a more talented learner than I. I'm thorough but slow (i.e. I find it difficult to pick up features that aren't semi-self-evident or context-driven which, btw, is wh...

Re: Tutorial 1.5 question (cycling)
Hello Fellow Beginner! There are anomalies in the tutorial... I spent quite some time on that one, too! And others. [IF you get stuck on 2.4, look at the answers to my posting "ASP 11 Tutorial 2.4: Varying Line Widths - can't do it".] And if you're looking for a video tutorial course, the ...

Thank you, synthsin75!
Thank you all. Without your input over the last few (rather frustrating) weeks, I think I'd have given up. I'm finding ASP11 one of the most challenging programs I've ever learnt... and that includes Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects and Maya.

Re: Definition of terms...
Thank you, Maestral. So... 1) curve, path and edge are synonyms; 2) stroke and outline are synonyms; 3) fill doesn't have a synonym (thank goodness!); 4) shape is a closed path. Please forgive me... may I just ask, how is it that in the ASP11 tutorial, an open path with three points is referred to a...

Wonderful stuff! Loo-dicrous!
In what format did you export your Anime Studio project, please?
Was it some transparent background or keyed?
[If either of these questions is idiotic, please excuse an over-enthusiastic beginner!]

Definition of terms...
Hello, Have I got this right, please? Outline = line connecting two or more anchor points – which may or may not have attributes applied, and which may be open or closed. Curve = a synonym of Outline. Shape = an outline/curve - BUT with attributes applied, and which may be open or closed. Thank you ...

Re: ASP 11 Tutorial 2.4: Varying Line Widths - can't do it
To both of you... Thank you very much for your kindness, taking the time and trouble to help! I am so grateful. Hoptoad... Thank you! This is the one where I believe the tutorial is wrong. It shows overlaid filled shapes to create the "compound" shape (i.e. with hole). I simply cannot get...

ASP 11 Tutorial 2.4: Varying Line Widths - can't do it
Hello, This is driving me crazy. I've spent two days (OCD!) trying to get this to work. [BTW: I spent ages on the Create Shape tutorial for making holes in shapes until I realised that the tutorial was wrong... which isn't helpful for a beginner.] I think the real problem with 2.4 is that it describ...

Re: Poser import not looking right in animation
Figured out that I wasn't doing anything wrong!
Poser figures are blocky until they're exported. There is no way to preview Poser animation - i.e. as it will appear - in ASP.

Poser import not looking right in animation
Hello,
I'm still learning.
I have ASP 11 and Poser 11.
I have brought in a Poser character and can manipulate it using the Poser Parameters.
However, when I animate the manipulation, the character is in blocks, rather than how it normally is.
Could you please tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Thank you.
