Wow, I instantly connected with these characters. I really do want to find out more about them. Here's hoping you continue development on this and end up making some short YouTube episodes or something. Who knows, 20 years from now we could be lining up to see "The Coneys Movie" :D !!

Cool, that sounds like it should work pretty well. I like that you intend to store the normal vector and let it transform with the shape instead of calculating it on the fly. Should be faster. I wouldn't sweat the shape orientation issue at all. It's just a fact of life with all 3D programs. I've ce...

Lighting ideas

This is from another thread, http://www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8942 , proposing an alternate 3D vector system for the next version of Anime Studio. I thought I'd post my reply here as it's more relevant to this thread than that one. Regarding to the mention of heyvern about the lightin...

I'm certainly aware of the work that you and Genete have done with the 3D rig, but I'd be lying if I said I fully understood it. The fact that you guys have done this within a 2D framework is a great achievement. I'll watch Genete's video tutorial when I get the chance. Correct me if I'm wrong, biut...

3D Vector Shapes

Postality posted this in the "Request for top 10 Anime Studio Pro Version 6 Features" thread a while back and I thought it warranted further discussion. It seems like adding extra 3D functionality to Anime Studio is a bit controversial, so please don't post if you are against the idea of m...

Just to clarify, is this update going to be the long awaited Anime Studio Pro 6 or just a patch for Anime Studio Pro 5?

I did a bit more investigating, and I reckon that the value set by the Zoom Tool is the "vertical viewing angle" in degrees. In photography and cinematography it is usually the diagonal viewing angle that is used, and the often quoted value of 60 degrees for the human eye refers to this me...

10. Better 3d support for modeling/(cel) shading/lighting. Also perhaps abilty to choose different Camera Lenses as it currently only seems to offer one that gives a slightly weird fish-eye effect. Actually, you can choose different camera lenses already, but it isn't very intuitive. Not many peopl...

Wow, some great suggestions so far. Good, intelligent software attracts good, intelligent users, I guess . Anyway, with that perhaps not so much in mind, here's my list: 1. Better timeline controls (move, delete, or add keyframes on ALL selected layers -- requires ability to select multiple layers a...

Finer control of the Soft Edge effect

I am trying to use Moho to emulate hand-drawn Anime and can get pretty close thanks to the new decimal line-width control. What I would like to see is a similar level of control to the Soft Edge effect as the default lines in Moho look just a little bit too sharp compared with hand-drawn cels. Anoth...
