First off, I have to fess up to being an absolute Metroid freak and I have to say that screenshot looks absolutely amazing! I can't wait to play it when it comes out. Unfortunately, I'm involved in way too many volunteer projects as it is, so there's no way I could make a full commitment to the proj...

Wow, some nice shading there! One thing, though, most Anime characters have shadow at the top of the eyeball, instead of the bottom. Try this and see how it compares to you. Also, I think you need to give her more head (there's got to be a better way to say that :?). That is, the top of her head doe...

Thanks to all for comments and feedback. Smile I will try make it better in next animation. Adding his evil twin brother will be interesting - I've never animated two characters and their interactions. What? This one is NOT the evil twin?!? Hey, that's actually a pretty good premise for a show - a ...

I personally like it. It's kind of a cross between cut-out and Anime style. I think I've seen a number of recent Flash cartoons done in a similar stylel, so there is definitely an audience for it. I prefer it when there's some simple cel-shading as well, but of course it's a lot more work to animate...

Re: Anime

Has any actually made an anime on anime studio :? I am trying to, I am currently doing good. I am trying to make an Anime on Anime studio as well. I don't really have anything to show, just lots of test pieces and experimental rigs, etc. I would love to see some examples of your work, though. For m...

I would like to see Lost Marble take it even further and make the interface flexible enough that people could come out with "Total Conversions". That way you could have features and interfaces directly targeted to your desired method of animation, ie 3D, frame-by-frame, Anime, etc. I don't...

There is a popular Swedish cartoon called Myggan that was done in Anime Studio.

See below for original announcement from director. There are some episodes on YouTube, but you should probably go through the link he mentions so they can get paid.

Looking for animation book mentioned on this board

A while back someone posted a page from a well known animation book that showed how to draw different rotational views of a cartoon head based on the aerial view. The problem is that it was posted in one of the many "How do I do head turns?" threads and I've just spent the best part of an ...

Re: Motion capture with mouse needed in Anime Pro

If I could have ONE THING added to Anime Pro I would request motion capture with the mouse. I used to animate with the mouse using the old Autodesk Animator Pro in DOS and early Windows. Now I NEED to do the same with Anime Studio Pro. Does anyone know of a way to do this in Anime Pro? TNX, huertaa...

I would buy such a book in a heartbeat. I would even be happy to pay up front for it, even if there was only a 50-50 chance of it coming out.

I agree that there are a lot of advantages to going down the self-publishing route. However, if the book is going to be as big as they want it to be, it's going to take a great deal of time and effort it put it together, and GK probably don't want to commit to that without some money up front. Just ...

Thanks Blacksun, I must say that the book we were writing fell through at the last hurdle, the publisher just didn't couldn't give us a fair enough deal. We were going to feature a chapter on La Reine Soleil and include tutorial models and rigged animation. Its a shame that they couldn't see the po...

I got that email too that mentioned getting 20% off if you confirm your email. I have to say that it looked really suspicious to me. For one thing, all of the links point to some weird web domain [http://dr.bluehornet.com]. Also, I received the same email a few days later, with a slightly different ...

Re: Oh those Anime Eyes

One of the most distinctive things about Japanese anime is the extraordinary detail put into the eyes. Getting that look is not easy as it requires multiple colour separations within the iris area - programs such as Animo were better for this than AS as it has very good colour blending tools. Howev...
