Okay, they're hinting on their Facebook page today that "something big is coming."

Re: Audacity

Agreed that GarageBand would be very useful, but I'm really curious as what the problem could be with your Audacity installation. I'm on an iMac running OSX 10.8.5 and Audacity works just fine. Did you download the latest 2.0.6 version? Perhaps it doesn't play well with Mountain Lion. You might try ...

Re: Frame by Frame animation?

Gilles, Are you still working on your video tutorial set? I understand your situation and I'm not trying to pressure you, but you haven't been posting on your blog very frequently so it's difficult to tell. Incidentally, I think it would be helpful if you add a date when you do post on your blog so ...

Instant Animation

Adobe just announced Project Animal, which allows After Effects to recognize your face via your webcam and instantly transfer your expressions to an animated character.

Re: Anime Studio Pro 10 Users Manual

p8guitar, have you checked to see if your ASP10 manual is properly installed?

Right-click on the application to show package contents and go to Contents > Resources > Support > Manuals, where you should find your v.10 manual.

Re: The return of MotionArtist!

I agree, it would be great if they made some more-detailed, project-based tutorials. Maybe Chad could produce some for MotionArtist?

Have you checked out any of their MA webinars? http://my.smithmicro.com/webinars/motionartist/

Re: Why would anyone choose to use Animate Pro?

First of all, I must say that if you go to one of the ToonBoom forums you might very likely find a similar question but with ToonBoom the positive and Anime Studio the negative. That is the nature of various software forums. Personally, I have and enjoy both applications and I think the major differ...

Re: Webinar: Character Rigging and Animation in Anime Studio

wovenskin, re: the manual, have you looked at Help from within the application? ASP10 comes with both a tutorial manual and a 443-page users manual. You should find them if you look in resources > support > manuals inside your ASP10 folder.

Maybe call them "smartinfinicycleactionleverbonesdials" . . . kinda just rolls off the tongue, doesn't it? :)

Re: smart bone dials

I don't necessarily think that "smart bone levers" would be a better name than "smart bone dials" but I have to admit that as a guitar player, when I hear "dial" I can't help but think guitar amplifier knobs and the dials on audio software plugins, which are all, of cou...

Re: Reduced Character Wizard in v10?

Personally I think that the Character Wizard is a really, really cool idea. More as a concepting tool than a finished-art device. Something that you could use to visualize and develop a character as a rough sketch, which you would then further refine into a wonderful and personalized character desig...

I'm really glad to hear you are able to run ASP10 on your system! Re: the Quicktime Animation codec, when you click on the output format button at the top of the pop-up window, if you scroll all the way down to the bottom and click on Quicktime Movie, then click okay, you'll get the mac pop-up windo...
