Re: A Character Rig of Myself

Thought of this: 5hYi350ap_M JK. You're not alone; my brother thought the exact same thing. Thanks for showing the smart bone actions like this - amazing 3D simulation when he raises and lowers his head. After all that, I would have expected a dance scene to show off what this character can d...

Re: Our less creepy eyes

It's definitely better, although I'm not sure why you chose to give the pupils a ragged shape. Shouldn't they be round, like the iris? If you plan on shading the eyeball, make sure the shading overlays the iris too; right now, you only have the sclera shaded. The unshaded iris on top of the shaded s...

Aside from the character rig, was everything done in AS ?

Thank you.
I made the image of the nebula in photoshop, but it was still compiled into AS. Other than that, everything was done entirely in AS.

Re: A Character Rig of Myself

Thanks, Danimal! Yeah... I'm really flexible when I show off the full spectrum of all of my smart bone actions.

@Pinesal Thank you! I'm glad to be able to say that I was of some use to another AS user; I feel bad for not contributing more to this forum...

A Character Rig of Myself

I probably should have done this a long time ago, but I finally rigged... myself.

Re: Floating Heads

The audio clip is from A Christmas Story If someone doesn't recognize that movie, they deserve to be shot to the moon to live out their bizarre and unearthly existence alone, as it should be. Why aren't we funding this? :? Good job, ddrake. I agree with what Danimal said about using the smartbones ...

Re: WhiteLand Character Rig Head Turn

2xj64xX77zQ I made a few fixes and added a subtle (a.k.a. "incomplete") body turn. The only thing that caught my eye was with the nose as it passed through the middle. There's a quick bit of it facing completely forward and it looks kind of like a "U" - it doesn't look natural s...

Re: WhiteLand Character Rig Head Turn

Looks really nice, well done. Bad news is you could do the same thing in 9.5 with both directions in a single action. Try to make sure your bone rotations are set to linear instead of smooth (default?) which might help with the transition around the 0 influence. you might also be able to combine th...

WhiteLand Character Rig Head Turn

Everyone else seems to be sharing head turn animations, so I thought I'd post a head turn animation test of my latest character rig; it's certainly not perfect though... ipd16aAYaI0 I regret starting this in ASP9.5, before I upgraded to ASP10. In ASP10, I could have rigged both head turn directions ...

Re: I'm A Fungi: Decomposition

@ddrake Thank you. My Frozen video has attracted some of the stupidest people on the internet. Most of them don't even bother to READ THE DESCRIPTION before viewing (they would have known that I made the animation before Frozen's release, which would explain the inaccuracies). Of course, there's alw...

Nope. I only used smart bones for his body turn.

Fungi is supposed to be a pun for "fun guy."

Re: I'm A Fungi: Decomposition

Thanks. The "bounce" interpolation was used when the bird fell to the ground and, also, when the Fungi jumped forward onto the ground. The vector shape particle source feature was used both on the clouds and on the "poofs" that appeared when the bird and Fungi came in contact wit...

I'm A Fungi("fun-guy"): Decomposition

I needed to experiment with ASP10, so I re-rigged one of my [really, really, really] old characters and made this short animation. It makes use of the "bounce" keyframe interpolation, while also using the new vector shape particle source feature. JWBV-n5uvpw It's nothing serious; I just ma...
