yes -i timidly said-, i use it because i prefer it instead photoshop's interface. Well, you are in prehistory.) It never ceases to make me laugh how snobbish and elite people who use Photoshop think they are. The program is not only nothing special, it's 10x what it should cost. I'm not famil...

I really enjoyed that! The beginning move through all the hills was very well done. Even though clearly aimed at a younger audience, I'd watch it. I liked the story!

I hope this doesn't sound too dumb, but are you using the Render function to see the picture? AS doesn't show gradients in the work window, you have to render them to see the effect.

I don't consider you a hypocrite at all, in fact it was your stubbornness for saying how good the drawing was in AS that kept me at it - and I'm glad I did!

How about that eyedropper problem - anyone tackle that yet? Maybe make a custom tool for that?

As I thought, I was at fault for a huge part of my difficulties. While messing around I noticed the "Autofill" and "Auto Close" check boxes in the freehand tool. This has made drawing a million times easier now. I imported a picture and have been tracing it and have been very ple...

Hey spoooze, I have a question: how do you do the slight shadings on the edge of the characters' faces and arms? That's something I've ben pretty unsuccessful with so far.

(I still have to test Adobe's new CS3, where all programs boast to have the same tools and user interface.) I've tried the Flash CS3 and for my money it's still exactly the same, they just want to charge another couple hundred dollars. This is to be expected when Adobe (aka, money making machine) b...

"Nothing like a good old fashioned walk in the park with shoes that are too tight for my feet" Hilarious line. I'm really liking the one where he works at Target... errr, Bulls Eye. "I'm like a ninja." Hysterical. I like the voice work too. Really slick production all the w...

I just have to laugh a little when I have these conversations. When I first started I felt EXACTLY the same as you... all those steps... the silly tools etc etc... Well at least you understand where I'm coming from... You mentioned that you have to close a shape to fill it? And this is terrible? Wh...

Thanks, I downloaded the tools and have been toying with drawing in AS for an hour or so now. I know you can't teach an old dog new tricks and that there's always a learning curve... But this is easily the WORST set of drawing tools I've ever seen. Microsoft Paint looks like a class act next to this...

OK, thanks everyone! I guess I need to sit down with AS and just get used to drawing in it.
