Newb Masking confusion

I am sitting down to confront masking head-on. Making some progress. A few questions: 1. I created a group of vector layers of basic shapes. I chose "Hide all" for the group. The tutorials ALL show me this technique, and I feel like I'm going crazy because they all say "As you can see...

Re: Transforming multiple layers

OK, so in Debut, Bone Layers do double duty as Group Layers, got it. Seems like a petty thing for SM to disable for Debut, but whatever.

Transforming multiple layers

I am creating a character consisting of multiple layers; arms, head, etc., but I realize the entire figure is too large and I need to shrink it all as one. How can I transform multiple layers as a single object rather than resizing each layer individually and making sure they line up properly again?...

Re: Invalid Photoshop File

Oh ok, it's a Pro feature, that's why. I really should have looked more closely into what is only offered in Pro before I decided to buy. I was dismayed to learn that onion skinning is a Pro only feature as well. And wireframes. Now this. Oh well, given recent events I have no interest in drawing pr...

Re: Hello World!

Well, I use Sonar for my audio workstation, which also has video sync, but the audio is long since completed and released, so I have to match the video to the locked audio track. That shouldn't be hard though.

Re: Hello World!

I have used Sibelius in the past, but I haven't needed to notate anything in a long time. Why do you ask?

Re: Hello World!

That makes sense. From these comments I've already decided to keep with a shadow puppet-like look, which means that for much of it I only have to deal with black shapes on a static background. I will just be creating vectors (and using layer binding - see, I've already learned something!) instead of...

Re: Hello World!

Oh man.... But yeah, I see that. Unfortunately I don't have an option. These videos are what I bought Moho for. Now that I bit all this off I having to start chewing I guess.

Re: Invalid Photoshop File

Thanks for the quick response. I read about the adjustment layer issues somewhere else online and I forgot to mention this is a very simple file. Basically I took a jpg, chopped it up into layers, saved it as PSD and tried to import. No adjustments or groupings - I didn't even bother to rename the l...

Invalid Photoshop File

I am attempting to import a PSD file into Moho, but am receiving the error "Invalid Photoshop File". I wonder if this is because I am using an older version of Photoshop (10). What version is required? I dread the answer because it means more $$$ for this project... Also, I went to File / ...

Re: Hello World!

Super helpful, thank you! I know this is all very beginner stuff I can find elsewhere, but I'm still in the primordial ooze phase and along with learning the product, deciding what my video is going to look like, I'm also learning my ideal routes for assistance. In case I need to reference it later ...

Re: Hello World!

Hi Jim and welcome to the forum. you said "pen and ink" drawings -- will you be scanning them in to use "flip book" style or animating the images? I will be animating the images. They are abstract curly doodles, all black pen on white. that "fast drawing" - there are s...

Hello World!

Hi, I'm just here introducing myself. I'm brand new to Moho. And for the most part, brand new to animation, though a few years ago I did an animated video using Adobe Premiere Elements to promote my album. http://www.jimofseattle.com/other-music . I also have a whole box of hand drawn flip movies us...
