but i dont know how to install it Most scripts are added to the AS/scripts/tool folder They usually need a line in _tool_list.txt eg. tool lm_select_shape.lua Q 7feet select shape tool (with Rudiger mod.) conflicts the ver6 tool - in that you loose features of the new - gradient editing etc. My wor...

Thanks for reminding me Genete. Yes I have looked through those links. It is interesting to see that everyone has a different approach. This reflects the flexibility of the software and mixed styles. Selgin is right about fluid turns (morphing) but it is totally fussy about point count. I work more ...

I wonder if someone had the time to collect a few of the better postings on turns? It comes up so regularly it would almost warrant a sticky. Is there and easy way to do this? Short answer... No. If you have a regularly used rig then it is worth developing switch layers or front, 3/4 etc. views but ...

> super8mm There is a frame counter somewhere on the forum. It is called counter.anme and can be embedded as an object in any *anme file. Sized, positioned as you wish. It is great for fine tuning timing adjustments. I tried a quick search but couldn't see it. Let me know if you still need this but ...

That's how it works in AS

A new layer is a layer that is newer than the old layer - which is old. And youth always takes precedence.

Unlike real life they can be dragged to supremacy. Don't ya love it?

excellent

Hey Ramón - that is so cool. You are too modest. I have had it installed for a bit now and find that I am using a lot. Especially when translating/modelling and I want an extra point. Being able to skip the 'add point' tool is great. Just click your little button and..... there it is - an extra poin...

I have read repeatedly that turns are the holy grail of animation. I find that I am increasingly simplifying my turns - with a combination of quicker transitions, which can mean a less real turn, and more use of point moving. Bones are brilliant but my rigs for turns seem to get way too complex. My ...

AS 5.* has a library folder and you can add *.anme files to this.

To isolate your character - delete all the non-character layers and then save the character-only file in the moho/library folder. You may want to create a separate folder for this.

Ver 6 has a much better library.

I am glad to be able to add something to the pot.

Feel free to mix it up with the layers or to suggest alternatives. This work is relatively easy for me -- WAY easier than animation :D

Would posting my *.psd file be of any use? You could mix and match as you wish.

Well done Rudiger.! A very rich and generous offering that (so far) has all worked just fine. LOVE having the count option :!: Here are icon variants that might be useful. http://www.BuddhaMind.info/as/bits/rt_key_tool_1.png http://www.BuddhaMind.info/as/bits/rt_key_tool_2.png http://www.BuddhaMind....

Yes, I see it now. I have been using 7Feet's modified select_shape (with Rudiger's add). It is VERY useful to have those little handles. An easy enough matter to rename that version. The main feature is setting shape levels. It doesn't seem to intefere with the sizing set by the LM version. thanks G...

Have you read the help file and followed tutorials :?: :?: You don't have your layer window visible in your screen shot but you will be best to have most of your body parts - arm with sword, legs with boots, etc. - each on separate layers. It makes it so much easier for binding. So, your character i...

I don't use tiling that often but it came up again as an option. Grrrrr. I played around and have a workaround - albeit a slightly messy one. In the file source code there is a line giving the path to the image texture - in the example I posted it will be: */*/tki_logo.gif" 1 On the line immedi...

Mikdog has it pretty well covered but here are a couple of thoughts. Mostly you need to be thinking of how far you want to animate - the more movement required the more separate 'bits' you will need. If you want the mouth to open you will need teeth, tongue - possibly on the same layer with the jaw....
