Re: Curves are lumpy around the nodes.

Hey! Yes, please. Tell anyone who'll listen! :) It feels like every point in the line is being treated the same way, in an attempt to maintain the exact curve you drew, which makes sense. But I think the lines look much better if you treat the end points differently. I'd be surprised if this couldn'...

Re: Curves are lumpy around the nodes.

Okay, holy f*cking crap. This update, with the bezier things... I can make lines like I want! (wait for it...) EXCEPT! It requires that I take every line I make and tweak the beziers in the same way, every time. I have to essentially drag the FINAL point's beziers onto itself, and extend the previou...

Re: Animated Web Series project

It would have to be particularly funny for me to pay for it. And I assume it's comedy because drama in one minute increments seems like it would be even tougher. That said, "Animals" just made the jump from YouTube to HBO, and the animation on that thing is... shall we say, not the main at...

Re: Joint Noodles

Haya and Greenlaw- Yep, that was it. When you're learning, you do stuff you don't know NOT to do, and apparently I threw a keyframe on EVERYTHING at frame 1, including Bone Reparenting. Couldn't see what I did because all the timeline layers were consolidated, but when I unchecked that in preference...

Joint Noodles

Okay, what in the world are these, and should they be interfering with me cycling some walking?

(My complete failure to cycle this little stretch of animation could easily turn out to be something else entirely. ;) )

Anyway, what're these? Thanks!

Re: Slanted Transform - Jumping when Paste-ing/ Grouping

Hey, Synth! The problem is that I'd already blown the head into several layers that I wanted to rotate together, and since I can't select points on more than one layer at a time, I had rotate the layers. If there's a way to do this by just rotating the points, please tell me! http://i65.tinypic.com/...

Re: Saving and Reusing Gradients?

Slowtiger- Okay, so it's easier than I thought to copy a gradient from Fill to Stroke. I forgot you could pop out the full color wheel selector (along with the hexidecimal Pantone color number at the bottom) by clicking the swatch next to the eye dropper. I have to do it twice for each gradient, but...

Re: Saving and Reusing Gradients?

Slowtiger- Thanks for responding. I just watched some tutorials on Styles and I think I get what they're for, but I'm still stuck on the way to copy a Fill Gradient to a Stroke Gradient. It seems like I would need to do that before I make the Style, that I would then re-use on other stuff. Is there ...

Saving and Reusing Gradients?

I'm trying to make a shape with a textured stroke around it that uses a gradient. The Stroke and Fill gradients have to match exactly, but I can't find a way to save and reuse gradients. http://i65.tinypic.com/hrc7yt.jpg The way I just cheated the system is to take a snapshot of my screen when the F...

Re: Slanted Transform - Jumping when Paste-ing/ Grouping

I'm guessing that this is just the way it is and there're no answers to be given, or I've already used up my allotment of stupid questions. ;)

Either way, suppose I'll learn to live with working around it. Flash does way weirder stuff. Thanks!

Slanted Transform - Jumping when Paste-ing/ Grouping

Hey! I've been making progress, but I've hit some things that I'm not sure how to approach. I drew a head on an angle (in several pieces, so the way I leveled it out was with the Transform Layer tool on the group layer), but now when I go to Transform Points on any of the layers, it won't let me jus...

Hey, guys. I'm at work and can't install anything. What's this all about?

You're probably gonna tape the thing, so I guess I'll catch it on YouTube. :(

Re: Scale Multiple Layers / Hotkey for "Next Keyframe"

Thanks for weighing in on this, guys! Turns out I was doing it wrong. :\ I was selecting a handful of Layers and then trying to scale them up with the Transform Points tool, and not the Transform Layer tool. The latter works MUCH better, and I don't have to put them in a group (which, by the way, do...

Re: this is good (NSFW)

Strong animation, but a cat gets kicked and a baby seal gets slaughtered, so it might not be for the faint of heart (such as myself).
