Re: Moho Toon Looking 3 D vs Blender

Hey Ceam, this character is 2D, means: It is flat. I think it's handdrawn. You can define the edges (colours, thickness). But you have to draw the character. Then you have to split it into different layers (for arms, legs and so on). The layers are rigged with bones, then you can animate it. You sho...

Re: Should I Flexi-Bind?

Yes, I use flexi binding mostly. I often combine it with elements that need point binding. It depents on what your character needs, there is definitely no right or wrong, just works good or not. There are tutorials from McCoy Buck about this and his complete rigging course on Udemy.

Re: Moho Toon Looking 3 D vs Blender

Hello Ceam, I think you mix up things a bit. Blender ist (mostly) build for 3D animation. Moho is a tool for 2D animation. Although you can import 3D models in Moho this is not moho's strenght. It sounds a bit like you are a newbie to animation, right? Well first of all you should be clear with what...

Re: New Moho training

The animations from this animator are stunnig. But I have doubts concerning the length of this course. A complex 2.5D rig in two hours... Don't believe this goes deep enough...

Re: Maintaining facial expression a through head turn

Hi Moho People, I agree with Greenlaw to separate the view angles. This is mostly the best way. But im my actual animation I'm going just the other way: I do a full 360° turn of the whole character. My steps for this are: 1. Design the character. What should the puppet be able of? This determines wh...

Re: Secondery Action After Body Turn?

Hey Greenlaw,
I really would like to see a more complex rig. Most of all the smart actions behind it
You seem to be a professional (I'm more a hobbyist), but I would like to master this bodyturn challenge.
Thanks a lot.

Re: Any rumblings of a date for Moho 13 yet?

Hey Moho-People, I read the posts concerning the future of Moho. Although I'm happy with the information that 13 ist currently in Beta, I have my own experiences with companies and their products. On severeal occasions I saw management cutting out complete product segments because of the "not e...

Re: Any rumblings of a date for Moho 13 yet?

Hey Everybody, I have both, Moho 12 and Harmony Premium. I decided to give Harmony another chance (and renewed the support contract). Well, seems to be money for (almost) nothing. The most obvious reason for staying with Toon Boom is the very good drawing engine. For traditional frame by frame anima...

Witch of Waves - First View

Hello Everybody, I'm new to this forum and I would like to start talking with you by showing a part of my work. Currently I'm doing character-setups and backgound paintings for a short movie with the working title "Witch of Waves". All paintings were done with Corel Painter Essentials 4 (w...
