Re: How to use Stroke Exposure to start at the point we want?
I had to check how I used to manually reset the Stroke Exposure start point before SimplSam created his script. The trick is to delete an edge, and then reconnect the edge. Where you start the re-connection becomes the new start point for the stroke exposure. Like this... https://www.dropbox.com/scl...

Re: How to use Stroke Exposure to start at the point we want?
Stroke exposure starts with the first point created in the curve. While it's possible to reset the start point in a curve, it's easier to install and use this third-party tool by SimplSam... https://mohoscripts.com/script/ss_curve_exposure Update: See the next post for how to reset the start point m...

Re: Lip Sync setup
My advice is to use your own face and mouth as a reference. When I'm animating lip-sync, I'm physically forming the words with my mouth and paying attention to the shapes I'm making for the words as a whole, and not for every syllable. When you do this, you may be surprised to find how many syllable...

Re: How to quickly select switch layer folder
Yes, there is! Instead of Alt+RMB, try Alt+Shift+RMB. This selects the parent group for the selected artwork layer, which in this case is the Switch Layer. There is one limitation with this method: If the selected art layer is inside a group, then the shortcut will select the art layer's group inste...

Re: Lip Sync setup
You probably already saw this info, but here's what I found on the Rhubarb developer's page... Moho and OpenToonz ...and this... Mouth Shapes I have yet to test this, but I'm assuming Moho's Rhubarb support will recognize switch layers using the letter name for each mouth shape in the chart found at...

Re: Automatic Tracking Camera Plugin for Moho
Hi Paul, This sounds like the camera bookmarks found in 3D programs like Maya, which is something I use a lot. This feature stores the camera position and lens setting as a preset in a list. It's useful when setting up a rig or scene, and during animation. In Moho, I could use something like this wh...

Re: Automatic Tracking Camera Plugin for Moho
This reminds me of a request I was planning to make regarding the Moho camera. Currently, Moho treats the Camera differently from other items in Moho, in that, the camera cannot be placed under the Bones layer. If it could, then we could use Bone Constraints to affect its motion, which would give us...

Re: Automatic Tracking Camera Plugin for Moho
That's a very interesting tool. An equivalent tool doesn't exist for Moho, but I can see myself using one if it did...but only if I can still bake the camera motion and bring it into a compositing program. Thanks for sharing the link. I'll submit a suggestion to the developers. (I sometimes use Adob...

Re: Lip Sync setup
Some additional info: Moho's Switch Layer sets keyframes based on the child layer name (not order or id,) so I'm assuming the automated lipsync system does look for a specific naming structure. I've done a fair amount of lipsync animation in Moho but never used the auto-lipsync system. In my experie...

Re: Pin bones for Pupils
Here's another one: Manipulate Bones can also be used to move Target bones. Sorry, forgot about that one until I had to do it yesterday. So much of this is just muscle memory now.

Re: Only one Curver layer at a time?
It's possible to add a Curver layer to deform another Curver layer. Also, you can have many Curver splines inside a single Curver layer. For example... https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/gfmurcmtkavg1ld6zu1nu/CurversMultiple.gif?rlkey=hvc02j6mjpvh0nv04xzwt6gfv&raw=1 In the above, the two 'tiger arms...

Re: Underwater effect
The above works well enough when you only have Moho, but if you have a compositing program, I recommend using that instead. In a compositing program, you can adjust the effect interactively, without pre-baking the keys. You also have options for getting a more natural look, and you can animate the d...

Re: Underwater effect
Hello. I'm new here and also new to animation, and I have a question about the underwater effect. The goal is adding the effect like this video: A fractal pattern can be used to displace the pixels in an animation. The common and easiiest way to do this is to render out the Moho footage, and apply ...

Re: Select click and drag multiple layers in Sequencer
Sorry, I posted but then realized I misread the request and deleted my post. Nothing to see here. :) But, yeah, I just use a Group to move multiple layers...but I tend to use a lot of groups in my projects anyway, so that's just normal for me. Less clicking to do. That said, it seems like you should...
