I am new too and this was my first learning experiment but you can see from the first scene that I was timing each keyframe to the beat. Just look at your audio's high points and create the key frame on that point.

Your at the same point as me, keep up the good work. Personally, I don't really like the cut out feeling, but that is subjective. I like working with music as the beat gives me points to add changes. I felt you could try timing the moves a bit similarly.

thanks so much, I didn't realise that the visible tick box would work based on frames, I thought it was for the whole duration of the movie. Is this same for all settings when you double click the layer? so If I set the blur or opacity for example at a particular key frame.... never mind will test. ...
