There are quite a few Windows tablets coming out in the near future. My guess is that any of them will work fine with AS, although I am just guessing. I've never actually used a Windows tablet. But I'm saving for one and I plan to get one. I have AS on an EEE PC with a very low power CPU and no grap...

I haven't used Windows 7 starter but I did install AS 7 Pro on my netbook with XP home edition. My guess is that if it works with XP (which it does) it'll work with Win7 Starter. There's one issue, that AS 7 doesn't work nicely with the 1024x600 screen. It's minimum requirements say that it wants 10...

There are some simple and nearly automatic ways to protect yourself. When I register software online they always send an email. I keep 2 email accounts, one at Yahoo and one at Hotmail, both paid for so they won't delete them if I'm gone a while, and I store copies of all my receipts on both. I also...

All my rendering has been to .avi files except for the F5 renders I do. Still no problems.

Okay thanks. I'm still struggling with this style thing but it's working some of the time now. It's still unreliable. I'm guessing that I'm doing something "anti-style" the times it messes up but it always messes up in some different way so it's hard to pin down. Little by little. :) Barry

I just tried something that sort of lets you have a transparent gradient and it sort of works. I created a circle in Inkscape with a transparent gradient, fading from blue to transparent, and exported it as a .png. Then I loaded that into AS as an image layer over a layer with a solid circle in it a...

My only problem is that I can't just go to the store and purchase it. So if the deal you saw was in a chain store, then I'm kind of out of luck. I'm currently living in Japan, so any software I purchase at the store here will obviously be in Japanese. This is why I'd have to rely on the site. I'd p...

I'm very much a beginner, too, so keep that in mind when you read my answer. I bought Debut 6.0 first and even though it had enough stuff I didn't understand to keep me busy for a long time I just couldn't get rid of the feeling that I was going to want to go on playing with this and that I'd be bet...

I'm using AS Pro 7 on both a 32 bit Vista system and a 64 bit Windows 7 system and both have been completely stable. The same was true of AS 6 Pro.

I can't recall either of them ever crashing.

I should mention that I'm not pushing them very hard. I'm just learning this stuff.

Re: Some tools not working right in Intro Tutorial

I Just got Anime Studio Pro 7. I'm doing the first tutorial and certain tools are not working as they're supposed to. For instance, the Curvature Tool. I can select a point but it doesn't drag. Same thing with the Line width tool. Your phrasing makes me wonder if you are expecting those tools to mo...

I just read both of your posts, Bas and Vern, and played with it for a few minutes in AS and that helped a little. I'm about to get some sleep so I'll play with it more in the morning.

Explaining those check boxes made a big difference.

Thanks,
Barry

Sometimes not caring is nothing like apathy. Sometimes it's a considered opinion. Barry Was that statement also well considered? I'd be regretting that one. Needs more thinking through.         Microsoft has just released their new Office 2010 and they'...

Saved styles work fine. In the style palette on the top right select NEW STYLE. This creates a new style and the name is highlighted at the top. It is usually "Style 1" or "Style 2" etc. You can name it anything you want at this point. Now with the named style still selected in ...

You mean to do that instead of using styles, right? Don't styles work? I got into this when I wanted to try to create a character and I drew the head first and on another vector level I drew an arm, and then I realized that I could color them the same easily using styles...or so I thought. And also ...

I'll take anything I can get since I don't seem to be able to get it working at all. I don't really understand what you're describing though.
