How do I bind points inside group layer ?

Hi, I've been playing around with getting hair to bounce naturally while my character walks and I've encountered an interesting issue : npeA-2Lhqlw I have the following setup : -Bone layer --Vector Layer for the hair (VL1) --Group Layer for the head ---Vector Layer for the hair (VL2) So I have a bon...

Re: Render shows white edges in smaller sizes

Hi, The eyes are overlaid. If it were a shape order issue then I would expect to see the issue on large size as well. Each eye is a switch layer and inside each of these switch layers I have a masking group for the eyes. I have removed some layers for easy view ... below is a screenshot of how the l...

Re: Render shows white edges in smaller sizes

Hi Selgin,

Thanks for the advise.
However, unchecking that option distorts the image even more when I resize it :

Thanks,

Render shows white edges in smaller sizes

The description is bad ... I will show you using some screenshots. In my workspace everything looks OK : http://i58.tinypic.com/2qs77zp.png If I render it in that size it looks OK as well : http://i59.tinypic.com/6qfpt5.png However ... when I resize my cameraview so the head becomes smaller (or just...

Re: shoulders + body

Make a smartbone action on your armbone.
In the action you can adjust the points and align them to the shoulder so they don't seem out of place as you move the arm around.

It is explained well in this link

Hope it helps.

Re: My first head test using AS 10 - WIP

Hi all, Thanks for the feedback... maybe I'll just remove the wide jaw drop and go with the regular one ... I believe it'll look funny no matter how I try to fix it. Maybe there's just too much vertical stretch as you say. I was going to use it for a really surprised look but maybe I can get it done...

Re: My first head test using AS 10 - WIP

I noticed that too and made some adjustments to try and improve on that.
I also added some hair (very basic atm I know).

Please lemme know what you think.

My first head test using AS 10 - WIP

Just a simple 3-quarter head turn and some mouth + eye movements.
I will add more details on facial expressions.

Constructive criticism appreciated :)

Thanks,
-Kim.

Re: Goku being pooped on

Look at the size of that thing ! I don't believe it's a bird ... I'm guessing it's just Vegeta playing a trick on Goku.

Agree : Da fuq did I just watch ?? O_o

Re: Does point thickness interpolate on switch layers ?

Hi all, Thanks again for the advise... I was unable to make smooth line width transitions using a combination of smartbones + switch layers as Vern suggested. I made a quick test with smart bones alone ... leaving out the switch layers. I still need to add mouth/eyes actions but the turning looks sm...

Re: Does point thickness interpolate on switch layers ?

Hi Vern, Thank you for the advise but I guess I am doing something wrong. I added the bonelayer, placed all my switch layers in there. Added a smartbone to control the switchlayers ... which is working nicely if I stay in the action window view... everything interpolates nicely if I go through the t...

Does point thickness interpolate on switch layers ?

Hi, I've been playing around with switch layers for the first time and have an issue I cannot resolve. Interpolation seems to work fine on moving points ... but it doesn't seem to work on the line width (or thickness) of a point. Please check the movie I uploaded to Youtube ... when the head turns y...

Re: How do I make 2 bone structures interact ?

Hi willf, Thanks for the reply but as I said in the description it works fine when I have only 1 boneset. The problem is that making one boneset/group adds other issues. F.e. I need to be able to move the bone objects seperately (except for the part where they hold eachother)... making just one bone...

How do I make 2 bone structures interact ?

Not sure if that makes sense but I have 2 objects in a scene. There's 1 bone layer containing 2 individial bonesets. One for each object. There's no parent relationship between the 2 bonesets. A hand of boneset1 is supposed to grab/hold an arm from boneset 2. The idea is to move the armbone from bon...
