Here's the file. If you try to flood select the nose with Fazek's create shape tool, ASP hangs for quite awhile before it finally does the selection. It'll sometimes do this on the cheek as well. Do this enough, and it'll crash ASP.

Problem with Fazek's create shape tool

Does anyone else have this problem? If I try to flood select an overlapping shape using Fazek's create shape tool ASP lags or crashes. I thought the flood select options were suppose to keep this from happenning.

I reproduced the crash, but also found a way around it. I don't know why, but translating that small bone , on frame zero, allows it to be safely deleted. Also releasing points and layers allows them to be bound anew.

Is it outlining? Often I'll try to create a shape only to get an outline, no fill. The problem is always due to a vector being selected that has a line dividing the shape. Make sure you're selecting one continuous outline without any extraneous points. If I had to guess, I say you're probably select...

Hey thanks, Gary. That works. I'll keep an eye out for that in the future. Also, I had no idea about that view>source bit.

auto-weld bug with Fazek's tools?

I'm using Fazek's tools, but I haven't yet added them to my tool list or reassigned hotkeys. They're still in the 'Other' group in my tool palette. The problem I'm having is that, even with the auto-weld box unchecked, it still auto-welds when I add points with Fazek's add point tool. It doesn't app...

I tried that, but the link points to an html document with the file text. I still have to convert it to a .moho file. I tried deleting the copyright symbol from the file, but it's still not working. Any other ideas? It seems I use to be able to do this. I wonder if it has anything to do with using F...

Having trouble openning .moho files

http://www.flashpulse.com/moho/mermaid17.moho I'm having trouble openning these. In the link I copy the text and paste it in my text editor (notepad). I save it as a .moho or .anme file (whichever it says it is), but when I open it, it crashes ASP. I could swear this has worked before. Please help,...

Anything that can be changed on frame 0 should be able to be keyed or animated anywhere in the time line.
Exactly.
Today I was thinking that I'd also like to be able to lock a bone to another bone instead of being stuck with locking it to its global position.

My feature wish list

1) A translate bones tool that works the same as it does on frame zero on any other frame. I.e. grab the tip to scale/rotate & the pivot to translate. 2) Parenting that actually imparts a constraint input (global change). Or any degree of parenting and constraining actually interacting, other th...

Adjust constraints on the fly

Probably not a new discovery, but I just found out that I can adjust my constraints while animating. Instead of hit or miss guessing on the constraint values, I can go ahead and move my control bone/s and then adjust my constrained bone's value until it is exactly where I want it. Granted these valu...

Take a look at how the bones are parented in the tutorial/image/4.4 file using the parent bone tool. Compare this to what you're working on. If I had to guess I'd say you probably created your skeleton without deselecting the previous bone or reselecting the proper parent. Also, I usually create one...

ouch No offense intended there. 1) Multi layer action ability (including layer z depth animation, very important on DF head turn technique) I'm still new to this, but I thought that putting it all on one layer and sorting the shape depth would take care of this. Is depth sorting of shapes not an an...

just open the file with notepad or similar
I mean after that. I keep flirting with the idea of learning scripting, but my main focus is the art.
