It IS a CS/moho Problem. I created some shapes with AI 10, saved as v8 and imported this into moho flawlessly. The same file, opened with CS and exported back to v8 took 2 min. to import into moho.

Please, can anybody post tests with CS Windows or CS2?

Ups! Didnt know that my small remark would cause such a discussion! (stephklein, you should know that we mac users will never sell our souls to the empire of darkness, regardless the arguments... ) But lets get back to the illustrator topic. I tested this speed issue and there is something ve...

When I work inside an action, all attemts to do commands (eg save, undo..) or get ANY access to the menu bar will output loads of lua error messages of the described type. (Working with OS X)
Can anybody help?

Hi pixadmiral! Since importing illustator is a hot topic here, I tried your method. You are right, there are no curves where they should not be. In fact, there are no curves at all! Curves are transformed into small straight segments with hundrets of points. Somehow the appearance may be conserved b...

Cheers Rasheed and Macton, thanks a lot for your effort. I tried it and now it works like a miracle. Its nearly as good as being well organized. Errr... is it possible that all of the CC scripts involving file handling (ie. "load layer animation") cause similar errors? I never could...

Well, it's not just about quality, but about speed, too. My DualG5 takes around two minutes to import a single rectangle from illustrator. Pretty weird.

Sorry,

Mike, is it possible that scripts referring to file actions are not compatible with Mac OS? I get always such messages when trying scripts like these.

Anyway, thanks a lot for your effort.

AH, rylleman, this is brillant. So moho uses ABSOLUTE paths. It just seems to ignore a "wrong" link when the image file is placed in the same folder as the moho file. I would have much preferred a relative path, but with a text editor you can handle this problem... @ rasheed: I don't think...

Exchanging moho files with intact image links

Hi, how can I exchange moho files with other animators so that the links to images remain intact? Let say there are images which are inside different folders for organisation purposes. I save the moho file above these folders and all is fine. But when I send the moho file to another animator who has...

Well, I would not call it "something that already works" when my insert text-window is blank although any other application has lots of fonts on their list. And what moho does while converting fonts is a bit like: give your daughter a sheet with printed letters on it and scissors and tell ...

Ok, I checked this out. Moho recognizes fonts ONLY when they are physically placed in the library/fonts folder which is just one of six different locations where OS X stores fonts. Most professional designers use Font Organizers like Suitcase. And WHEN you work with Suitcase, it is extremely uncomfo...

I organize my fonts with Suitcase X. Hence, my library/fonts folder is empty. There are some dfonts in system/library/fonts, though. Maybe moho is not compatible with suitcase?
(Until now there is no other application on the Mac I am aware of which is not compatible with suitcase)

Insert Text - any fonts?

With Mac OS X, my "insert text"-window looks like this: http://home.arcor.de/ralf.bohde/bb/insert.jpg I read about problems in Font handling with moho, but there should be at least SOME fonts in the list. I have installed lots of fonts, most of them being PostScript, but there are Truetype...
